Beautiful art, checklist game design. If you want a game that fills 5-20 minutes at a time, you will have fun. There is depth and character, but combat feels monotonous.

This is one hell of a game, it was so much fun playing it couch co-op split screen (its very enjoyable solo too, i just played it with a friend is all, i did play it solo a bit and that doesnt change my opinion about the game in any way). its incredible how i found more joy in this simple cartoony game over practically every larger game ive played, and we beat it in 49 hours, only 49 hours that felt like a dream game. i miss the days where micro transactions and dlcs didnt flood the games, there are SO many options, and everything (excluding the 2, yes only 2, dlc characters) can be obtained in the game without having to wait 2 hours of irl time, or pay money for, and the 2 dlc characters rnt required to progress, they r simply available so u can enjoy more of this game, there r so many others u can choose from. I want more games like these, bring back couch coop and remove all the greed. Games should be fun, they r supposed to give players the full experience obtainable in a game without wait times, or money walls that u need to spend to have access too, i get so bored nowadays and this game restored that happiness from start to finish. edit: I do want to add that i noticed some people would complain that u need to star up specific abilities before u get other characters. or abilities... whats the issue with that? its fun! try new stuff, its not like ur required to get everyone up to the top level, play wats fun, level up new characters so u can play more. the rat is my favourite and its literally the first one u get, its not hard to rank up (star up), just takes practice getting used to the character, as u would expect when playing a different one. I dont remember if i got it on a discount, but i do normally wait till games r on one cuz im poor lol. But this game is 1000% worth the full price! Please dont let those reviewers that played the game for 4 hours discourage u, they barely gave the game a chance, they didnt explore all the different options, and tbh, i dont even think u can beat the entire game in just 4ish hours, i have 49hours played cuz my friend and i had literally unlocked everything we could and tried soooo many different abilities, tbh, probly wouldve been double the time if i was solo, and still wouldnt have got bored, please make ur own judgement. People that play the game for such a short time as far as im concerned didnt explore, they wanted to beat the game, or speed run it, which is boring, take the time to enjoy the masterpiece.

I think this might be the first time a core gameplay loop carried the entire game for me. I can't point to any one thing that I really liked about this game, but it was that constant quest for the next ability, that urge to tweak my build just right to steamroll that next dungeon... I power-shoveled it down and 100%'d it like it was a bag of chips on a cheat day. Sure, now I feel a little bloated, but I regret nothing.

Just finished the game, and I must say, it was a great "little" adventure! The mechanics are diverse enough to be engaging but not so complex as to overwhelm you. The story and humor are top-notch! Just go and have fun with it!
