I started playing this game after watching a group of YouTubers 100% the game on their channel. I like it a lot, but there's some minor things here and there that are just weird or need some work. I play on the Tropical Island, and the layout is a bit odd. I think that there needs to be a way for the player(s) to see how much money they will need to pay that night/the next morning, as I have to guesstimate every night and sometimes end up not being able to pay my employees because I underestimated everything, and I'm not going to be manually calculating everything every single time I go to sleep. I also recommend a better explanation of how different things work in game, such as the forge and the spice machine, as the button to go to the Wiki doesn't help as said Wiki is very bare bones and not developed enough to help players. I had to check discussion pages and dig through translations to figure out that the spice machine needs you to manually place the items on the table in order to work, since it wasn't explained and the wiki didn't explain it at all. I also believe there needs to be a better balance for timing. I do like not being able to go to the next day until you chose to sleep, but I get so tired of seeing the island in the dark because I do a lot of work and the day cycle is not long enough for me to get everything done (animals, mining, forging, fishing, collecting, farming, etc) before the sun sets, and then you're stuck in the dark for forever. You also then can't just leave the store closed during the day because that's an entire waste of a day for not only employee wages but also the condition of your goods. A longer day or the ability to have an employee who's only job is to fish or take care of the farm or animals would be great. There also needs to be a bigger backpack. I don't really use my horse, because pathing is not the best, and only having a handful of slots even with the largest backpack is not great. If I'm using a tool, like the pickaxe or the fishing rod, that's only 4 slots available, and with fish and junk not stacking, that space is gone very quickly. Plus, with the way the island is set up, going back and forth to empty my inventory is tedious, which contributes to the time issue with doing so much in the dark/at night. I don't mind the not stacking thing, but there needs to be some sort of upgrade to the inventory, especially for singleplayer, since you don't have more than one player's inventory space. And unloading my boat (which I just fish or collect things in and then fill to the brim) or the goods that I ordered takes forever, wasting even more daylight, because my inventory is so small, meaning I not only waste daylight, but also condition of goods that don't sell with less open shop time, and money, because the employees don't do as much work with the store being open. I see the potential with this game, and I look forward to future updates. I play singleplayer, and so far it's doable, but it takes a long time to do everything if you only play singleplayer and want to make sure you're not risking going bankrupt like I see many other players mention. Work on the balancing and tweak some of the things and I think it'll get even better.

I’ve been enjoying the game overall, but wow, some of these tasks are downright exhausting. Grating, even. There’s definitely some serious work needed to keep this game fun instead of frustrating. Getting started is brutal. The grind is painfully slow, so slow that the only thing that kept me going was the hope it would improve. Spoiler: it doesn’t. The only real way forward is scaling up, which translates into spending countless hours on the same repetitive chores. Take fishing, for example. Customers want variety, so you set traps. Every single day, you have to empty them. But your inventory is tiny, even with the largest bag, so be prepared to make endless back-and-forth trips just to haul in fish. Or let’s say there’s a festival coming up and customers want specific weapons. Time to mine ore. That means smacking rocks six, ten, maybe fifteen times until the ore bursts out. At that point it rolls downhill into the ocean, hides in tall grass, or somehow perches on top of the rock in a twisted game of hide-and-seek. And yes, every single piece has to be picked up one click at a time. I would trade anything for auto-pickup here. Finally collected enough? Great. Now it’s off to the smelter. You have to carefully drop each ore onto a tiny square platform. Physics ensures some will stack or roll off, meaning no ingot for you until you fix it. Slow. Painful. Infuriating. But wait, it gets worse! Making weapons requires balancing ingots, sticks, bones, and leather on a little circular table with an anvil in the middle. One wrong drop and it all topples off. You repeat this masochistic process for every single weapon. And because nights are endless, you’ll spend hours crafting in the dark, only for everything you made to sell out within the first hour of the next day. Customers complain, your reputation tanks, and you get to start the grind all over again. Reading this back, it honestly sounds like I hate the game. Damn.

Its pretty good, worth $10 now probably worth more with more development which appears to be ongoing Pros: its a good sim and manages to be time consuming and still fun without pointless medial tasks you cant automate like many other sims. There is a lot of content here and creativity e.g. the seasonal pricing, production systems, rental prices and staff wages I think there is room for improvement e.g. the UI, bag space system, exploration, staff managment system/wages but its a solid start Cons It can be hard to know how much you need to save each day to cover costs and overheads as you only find out after its been paid The bag system is kind of dumb, i often accidentally burn my bag and waste a lot of money doing that when getting rid of waste Otherwise decent work so far Improvement ideas - better bag system - a finances sheet or clipboard to see how much your rent etc is - more bag slots - a way to transport goods from the docks (the horse system isnt worth it and sucks) - more exploration - Limit customer demands to things you can actually stock "i cant find amazon bow" feels like an unfair criticism to place on a small potato and carrot store - staff who get rid of boxes, a ggardener, a tree harvester, workshop employee - Maybe a way to store money to pay for costs separately e.g. a employee payment box, or a savings system - Maybe a security system - a need to lock up and upgrade your store to prevent thief, possibly in a funny way, eg wooden doors, then reinforced doors then iron doors you can make, or thief traps (good for one night) so you see a knocked out thief in your store that morning with the stuff they tried to steal - a way to track what stock is in your store when ordering more - perhaps a way to upgrade the flying fox system between the boat and the ship or pay more to get a at the door delivery - more recipes - simple and complex - more complex means more profit on a sale, but more coordiantion to make -

Good game, apparently good enough for this new game "Island Market Simulator" to carbon copy it 1-1 mechanically with such precision i'd be surprised if they didn't steal code. there's literally no innovation the only difference is a slightly different map, UI, and lighting. was pretty shocked, hope these devs can look in to some kind of recourse.
