i love this game. it's cozy, i've had hours of fun playing it. i love the cashier mechanic, way less tedious than other games. its fun to have the option to produce your own product instead of buying and reselling. my issues are with scaling and balance - the scaling for the adventure mode meant that we didn't actually get to play the game until day ~31 (day ~3 of spring) because everything is locked behind honey which is sooooo hard to get - now that we have a bunch unlocked for adventure mode, there isn't enough time in the day until everything gets dark and then you're doing chores in the dark - fishing isn't unlocked for hours into the adventure mode, at which point it makes no money compared to the work/time of fishing - barrier to entry for machines is so high and its very difficult to make profit off of the machines when it needs a bunch of random materials, including season locked materials the core game is fun, it just needs better balancing of money/time/speed of unlocking stuff.
I like the game very much, but I keep going bankrupt because I cannot seem to reliably calculate my final costs at the end of the day. Currently my rent is 190 and my maintenance is 262, so my cost at the end of the day when I go to sleep should be 452, but its not. some days its 300 others its 260 and then my most recent day is 700. I understand there are taxes, and that increases, but I cannot figure out what is calculated when and how. Like my orders are deducted as I order stuff not at the end of the day, so I'm not sure what to do. Again, I like the game, it scratches an itch similar to TCG Card Shop Simulator, but my biggest issue is that the EOD costs are not reliable. Could you please fix it, or have a EOD cost box/pop up BEFORE I sleep for the day?
Old Market Simulator turned out to be way better than I expected. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and smooth gameplay really pull you in. It does an amazing job capturing the charm of traditional markets. It’s both relaxing and enjoyable, definitely a must-try for anyone who loves simulation games!
