This game is definitely early access, but the bones are really addictive as is. I think its mostly there and even if they just work on some rebalancing its great where it is. (its too hard for me)

game is awesome. real passion and development effort went into this, and it reeks of charm. every time I play i get hungry for an omelet. crafting builds in this game is very fun, and it's enjoyable watching the points rack up at the end when you see how you did under pressure.

So, I think I have discussed how much I love this game to everyone I know- and now you get to hear it as well. In short form, this is so evidently the work of a team that is both small and dedicated to the project. From consistent updates to a genuine interest in the continued replay value for players hard core to casual- this game is worth every damn penny it is and more. (and it's not even that expensive in the first place)! Is it buggy at times??? Yes. but the adorable artwork and the lack of huge consequence for the bugginess (?) just makes it an interesting little side note to your run. Yes, it is a short strategy game with very little sense at times, but that kind of makes it.. perfect? You don't have to worry about getting a perfect placement every time, and even failure doesn't feel that daunting. Becoming an omelet chef for snotty school kids and admin who seems to rain hellscape on you to get over their own depressive life is some of the most fun I have had in ages, and if you're on the fence... buy it!

American cheese SWEEP, American cheese goes UNDEFEATED. I layer a dozen and a half ingredients on my 30% expanded omelet for the most gluttonous owl known to man. I make an omelet so overloaded with stuff that it's amazing that it hasn't exploded yet from the sheer weight of food on it yet. I click to serve. It begins, the points, they just keep coming, ding ding ding, bacon, bell pepper, bacon, sausage, the flat numbers add up, AND THEN IT REALLY STARTS, THAT 0.2X MULT KICKS IN, THAT SOUND MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A GAMBLER WINNING A JACKPOT, PARSLEY ON HAVARTI ON AMERICAN CHEESE AND MORE AMERICAN CHEESE YES BABY YES I LOVE YOU OMELET BALATRO I LOVE YOU AMERICAN CHEESE Edit: CAN YOU UNWRAP AMERICAN CHEESE PLEASE I NEED IT BARE AND IN ALL ITS GLORY THANKS

I think this is the most satisfying pick-up-and-play roguelike I've played since Slay The Spire. I LOVE that you can approach the game as a slow, turn-based strategy game OR a chaotic blitz. It gives me a lot of control over the level of challenge I'm in the mood for, which means I'm kinda always in the mood to play it. The premise is simple and the rules are easy to learn, but there's crazy complexity hidden under the hood. Every match feels completely different. The rounds go by super fast, which encourages me to be daring and experiment with new strategies. Plus, it's just super cute. The pixel art's adorable, the music's catchy, the sound design on level scoring is genius, and all I want in life is to impress Principal Clucker. The flexibility, difficulty variability, and impressive depth of gameplay keep me coming back to Omelet You Cook. It's just fantastic. Can't wait to see how far this game goes!
