Great co-op fun. Really shines with 3-4 players, too easy with 2 regular gamers, Playing solo SUCKS. But at 3-4 players it's really fun, challenging and wild. (The mechanics scale for player count, goo spreads faster, players sleep longer, etc) As you earn money cleaning someone will have to to order items in real time, they get delivered and must be installed. All the while, the alien goo continues to spread and you've got to stay on top of it. The goo will bind you in a cocoon and your friends have to set you free - it's fun and provides a decently challenging fail condition that keeps the pressure real. Splashing water with the bucket and whacking enemies with the broom is very satisfying. You also have to eat and sleep - or you can just pass out and nap on the floor for a while. Eventually you buy beds and better food. Despite all I've mentioned, the mechanics feel fun and very simple. Easy for a non-gamer friend to tag along, but with enough meta to chew on for the experienced gamers. You'll be tired of it after maybe 20-40 hours or so. The challenge modes and unlocks make the game, without them it would get repetitive quick as there's no storyline or progression beyond 3 sizes of randomly generated ship. In a sad way the game feels unfinished and me and my friends have talked at length about how the game could have been so much more. Needs a sequel. There could be more items, room types, level sizes, enemy variety - it's all great but you'll be left wanting more if you love it. TL;DR - Fun little game totally worth your time but ONLY if you've got buddies to play with. Online or couch co-op but no combination of both (like a nintendo switch game) >:( Originally played on a different platform so my playtime is inaccurate

If you and your friends like games such as Overcooked, Moving Out etc, Out of Space is a good game to add to the list! Colourful graphics, cute characters to choose from (when unlocked). Objective is simple, yet completing it is dependent on how you and your friends play - could be simple to table flipping the longer you go on, but still recommended for co-op and chaos fans.

I adore this game! From the cute characters and enemy designs to the satisfying feeling of getting a sparkly clean room! The challenge modes add lots of additional fun to the game and even a large ship is doable solo if you can't convince anyone to play with you. Much love for cleaner bot! Water bot means well.

***I want to point out, I never played it multiplayer so I cannot speak for actual game play with others. Out of Space really is a fun game, too bad there's only an average of 30 people playing online at any given time. That means as you might have guessed, if you don't have friends to play with locally or online you aren't going to get much play time out of your $15 USD. Solo is okay for a couple of matches, but too often you'll get a match that's unwinnable. The maps are randomized each time you play, so that's nice for replay-ability but it's also the reason you might not be able to win solo matches. I'm going to do something rare for me, generally when games have a dead community and there are only a handful of people playing the game I often use that as big reason why I might not recommend a game. However, with Out of Space I can't help but like what I've played and I hope this game can be revived. It needs more attention and even though the game has been out since 2019, it deserves more recognition. Behold Games has a fun, simple to learn but hard to master game on their hands! So give it a go on discount, or if you have 3 other friends full price is okay too.
