Absolutely loved this cute and cozy game, even with needing a bit of guidance on finding a few things I struggled with. It played perfectly on the Deck, too. This will now be a cozy game I recommend to others without hesitation.

Neat little Pokemon Snap-style game. Can be a calm experience if you don't stress over missing shots and are okay with just trying again. Not a ton of game here, but what is here is pretty unique. Recommend on sale.

This game is so cute and fun. Learning all the areas and finding out how to make the creatures react in different ways was so much fun! It might feel overwhelming at first, but just give it a chance. It's not scary btw, totally safe to play with younger family members.

I've never played Pokémon Snap and the only game I've played that has such a large focus on photography is TOEM. Penko Park is another game to add to that list. It follows the much more rigid structure of Pokémon Snap over the free-form open world of TOEM. The pacing is solid, you'll constantly be unlocking new areas and tools throughout the main story. I did find myself going back and attempting to 100% areas after I rolled credits, however I decided against full completion as the game did start to feel tedious at that point. The main story of the game keeps things fresh though as you explore an interesting world with wonderful monsters in an amazing art style. I feel like the art style of Penko Park and the fluid animations of the creatures is far and away the strongest aspect of the game. I was always excited to explore a new area; to see the landscape and new creature design. If you like Pokémon Snap, you'll love Penko Park and if you have any interesting in a short, yet memorable photography tour, then I'd also recommend Penko Park

Adorably macabre, super enjoyable game! The graphic design is quirky and so cute. If you're a fan of the Pokemon Snap series or Beasts of Maravilla Island, you'll love this one too. With the different power-ups and tons of hidden creatures and paths, it's worthwhile to play all of the courses many times over. The pacing is great, with new opportunities opening up before you can start getting bored, but without ever feeling overwhelming. If you're going for 100% completion, it will start to get a little tedious, but that's to be expected. I will say that some elements of the story are really dark considering the overall cutesy atmosphere - not a criticism, just a warning. In terms of negatives, some of the creatures were a little bland and I would have liked more of a soundtrack, but that's about it. Though I didn't feel compelled to find everything, I got a huge amount of enjoyment from the game and would pick up a sequel in a heartbeat. It's a wonderfully creative blast to play and I recommend it to everyone!
