👍 Recommended Tao was told to save world. Tao did not save world. Tao got job instead. Tao failed to make coffee because Tao forgot how Up works. Somehow Tao got promoted. Then Tao worked for many many years while scary God of Death problem became somebody else's problem. Very good game. Funny writing, pretty pixel art, nice animation, and game lets Tao make extremely questionable life decisions. Tao may play again and actually become hero next time. ... Maybe. Being hero sounds like lot of work. Tao recommends. Meow. 👍
Not even halfway through getting all the achievements, but i must express how much of a breath of fresh air this game is. I had this game on my steam wishlist for years, waiting for its anticipated release, and it was worth it. It almost felt like playing a movie with multiple different endings, with the different stylistic visual events that happens throughout the game. One of the most unique video games out there, both story and moral-wise.
This game is a masterclass in storytelling through video games as a medium. Every choice matters, amazing comedic delivery (not only in the dialogue but even in all of the characters’ body language), flawless pixel art, multiple endings. Truly genius. I was enamored start to finish(es). The platforming itself is pretty simple, which feels like a very intentional design decision. Your focus is meant to be on the story while the gameplay plays a secondary role. It strikes that balance beautifully. This game deserves far more attention than it currently has.
