PUSS! is a pretty weird game. It's a mouse maze-game mixed with a bullet hell, which is a unique idea I don't think I've ever seen before and despite the controls being relatively simple, it's pretty fun. the visual style is great, and I think the difficulty is pretty fair for the most part. One of the most common complaints I've seen among other reviews is that when you hit something or touch a wall, there's a visual distortion that makes it impossible to see anything, making it almost a guaranteed death. I never really had an issue with that though. Especially since avoiding getting hit or touching walls is the entire point of the game. If anything, I'd say that's mostly just a skill issue. Although, during some events, there are moments when the screen shake can get a little absurd. The new(ish) DLC for the game, Otherworld, genuinely sucks ass. Unless you wanna 100% the game, don't bother with it. It fuckin blows. Overall though, the base game is pretty cool. 7.5/10.

I wish I could give it a neutral review rather than a positive or negative recommendation. The graphics are great and so is the score. The vibes are immaculate. However in a game where accuracy is paramount and the slightest movement in the wrong direction can ruin a run, the decision to have the whole screen shake when you touch a wall is disappointing. This alone is where all of my displeasure comes from.
