A good game on it's own, a great game when you tweak some of the difficulty to keep it from getting too same-y. I recommend turning off losing items on death, as the game does not have the randomization to be enjoyed as a rogue-like. Keep your gear and just keep chugging, otherwise you'll be like me and play the same levels over and over retrieving your gear after every failed boss attempt. That out of the way, I'm gonna be real with you, there isn't a lot of content. Nine levels and 4 boss fights in between. that being said, it's clear that a lot of care went into what content is there, which I have a soft spot for. The story may not be much but it's carried by the passionate voice acting and stylish presentation. I personally like that it doesn't feel the need to over-explain itself. You're here to shut down a mining operation, that's all you need to know. The gameplay is solid, the levels clearly had a lot of thought put into them and the combat is a lot of fun to learn. The gear/character designs are aesthetically pleasing and the amount of gadgets and gear drops means you have a lot to play with. I never felt like the game was unfair (outside of the boss fights) and if I landed in trouble it was always my own fault. Items are also plentiful enough that I always felt like I had options, though I was forced to limit myself due to the weight system, which I think is a good balance once I remembered I could actually throw things away. The devs have been really good at listening to feeback, and they added a training mode so you can practice the boss fights at base before heading out to face them again, but I would still argue that the difficulty gap between guards and bosses is so far that you may as well be playing a different game. Every time I had a boss down-pat in training I forgot how to fight them by the time I played my way up to them again just from beating on all the guards (thankfully you can skip levels as well if you want.) The third boss especially is trouble, not because of difficulty, but because you have to go against everything the game teaches you in order to win. It's certainly a cool attempt at something new but I don't know if it really lands. Waiting to get to play the game is usually not a good design decision. Despite that it still holds up. It's an easy recommend on sale but if you really like what you see it's still worth full price. I hope the devs keep making games because this was a pleasant experience.

Absolutely blown away by this game I swear it's right down my alley. A perfect ost with flashy animation style and borderline fighting game potential yet uniquely its own game. Devs, stand proud you cooked a five star meal. Love the personality and humanity that even the enemies just exude, not many games do that. And of course what would a roguelike be without its difficulty. Every game makes me want to rip my nuts off and this is no different but it makes trying again and again fun. Love the bosses (especially grymsdottir my goat)

I found this game through a YouTube ad and it genuinely captivated me so I decided to give it a shot. Least to say, I don't regret my purchase at all. The game blends together the genres of stealth and beat em up so damn well, it's not even funny. Don't get me wrong, you shouldn't expect a masterpiece...but the game has some great charm and deserves more love and attention. Good work. Anywho...it's 1am, I should get to bed.

This game is very flawed but I honestly can't bring myself to hate it the concept of a brawler like this was too intriguing for me but definitely wished there was more complexity to this game since its too simple to really continue playing. Guards in this game have one attack including some with a taser dart and a elite who swings twice i guess (talking about normal enemies here the bosses are fine besides the third one being a bit buggy but still fun to learn), this makes doing repeat runs so boring that I stopped playing classic to just focus on the bosses and beat the game making the extraction part of it completely worthless. If u do want to give the game a shot I recommend playing the demo (or trying it on sale) again don't HATE this game but for others they probably won't enjoy this game like I did. Overall I would give the game like a 6 to 6.5 could use some variety, more complexity, and some more polish but this game still felt pretty damm RAW.
