After a long wait and several delays, the game finally released in 2026. I have to admit, the first thing that immediately captivated me was the visuals. The retro-futuristic art style with a cyberpunk feel is truly one of the best in its genre. Every frame looks like a living digital painting, and the atmosphere created by Sad Cat Studios is incredibly rich, truly conveying the loneliness and violence of the world within the Phoenix Corporation. The pixel art and dynamic lighting are incredible. The city and industrial districts feel incredibly immersive, and the premise of an AI trapped in a human body is intriguing and executed with a fairly intense pace. Character movement feels agile, fluid, and responsive, especially when moving between platforms or engaging in combat. The audio design and soundtrack perfectly complement the dystopian atmosphere, heightening the tension at key moments. While the combat feels stylish, the mechanics can sometimes feel shallow after nearly 16.7 hours of play. Some platforming segments feel repetitive or less challenging once you've mastered the movement patterns. There are times when the narrative feels slow midway through the game, sapping the momentum built up early on. Some of the side missions feel like routine tasks rather than enriching experiences for the main story. Replaced isn't a perfect game, but it's a remarkable visual achievement for its developers. However, as a fan of cinematic platformers with a sharp pixel art aesthetic, I found it to be a perfect fit for all aspects of the game. This is a great start for Sad Cat Studios, and I certainly hope to see further improvements in future releases. 💯

Mixed tbh. I returned it because it was not what I was waiting for. Brilliant visuals. But it is just a platformer/brawler with pretty simple mechanics. I'm putting thumbs up because game deserves it just not my cup of tea.

I’m only at the beginning, but wow… the atmosphere is already incredible. The whole 1980s cyberpunk setting just pulls you in immediately. The soundtrack deserves a special mention too it fits perfectly and really amplifies the mood of the game. Everything feels cinematic, from the exploration to the movement. Too early for a full verdict, but so far, it’s a very strong first impression. Definitely excited to see where it goes. 10/10

Flawless on Steam Deck From my initial reactions, it just feels right on my Steam Deck OLED. I booted it up expecting to tweak settings, but there was none of that. It runs at a solid framerate with no dips, no stutter, just smooth gameplay the entire time. The controls feel natural, and on my OLED Steam Deck the game looks absolutely stunning. The pixel art really pops, the lighting stands out, and everything just feels more alive on that screen. It is one of those rare games where you stop thinking about performance and just enjoy what is in front of you. Everything feels polished and well put together right from the start. If you own a Steam Deck, just buy this. It runs flawlessly.
