Design + OST are hard carrying this review being positive. If you think this game is pretty watching the trailer, definitely pick it up for 5 dollars you're getting a chill vibe-platformer. My problems with this game come down to the last world, i would recommend skipping it. The gameplay is anything but fun in this world, it's BEAUTIFUL, but the amount of precision you need to full clear them are inconsistent and it all comes down to the characters physics. To start your character has three possible jumping heights, and some of the levels need the 2nd height to clear which are very awkward to time, you could learn a lineup to avoid this height, but that ruins the gameplay. Falling in this game is the absolute worst because your character gains such an uncontrollable amount of speed that unless you pre-plan the level after dying to it for 10 minutes you cannot do anything with this speed. Moreover, in the more precise levels, sometimes you want to micro-move yourself using left and right, well good luck doing that because double tapping an input gives you a SURGE of speed horizontally if you're holding the second input for .1 of a second longer than you need to, leading to your death again which encourages you to go back to the wall you jumped off of, it feels like everytime you try and take a slightly different route than the only one that a level was designed around you are immediately dead for taking that risk. All these combined make the hardest level of gameplay unenjoyable, I really want to like this game, it just feels like im fighting my own character while trying to navigate through each level, but for 5 dollars, im impressed with the aesthetic of the game and think it has potential, i hope these problems can be navigated.

This game is HARD. It starts off pretty simple, but damn, towards the end the platforming is as precise as can be. The movements feel very fluid, very smooth, the music is beautiful and I didn't really get tired of it even though I spent hours stuck on specific levels . It's a very simple game, simple concept, but executed very well. There is no scenario or story, you have to enjoy just pure platforming for the sake of it.

Cute little jump and run game! Its perfect when you just wanna hop in and out :3 The levels are challenging , but not too hard. After a few tries, you get the hang of how the mechanics in this game work. The soundtrack is very relaxing and adds to the experience of the game. If i had a steam deck, I would prbbly love to play this in the train, or on the go in general!

Despite not having dialogue or storyline, the game transports you to a magical and wonderful world thanks to two points: the soundtrack and the artwork. Aesthetically RITE is a beautiful game, you could sit and just listen to the music that accompanies each world and the sprites are very nice, although it can be repetitive to see the same designs with different colors in the 5 worlds that the game has. RITE is made for those who enjoy challenging games, pushing your patience and dedication to the limit. It can be stressful (too much) but at the same time it is very rewarding to complete it at 100%. One downside is the level design and the precision required for each jump, especially in the later stages, where there is no room for mistakes. RITE is good, but not perfect. Highly recommended. Great game. Absolutely a homage to N, and a successful homage at that. If you are reading this and you also have enjoyed RITE, but somehow have never played N, the original is still available for free from the Metanet site, and the better sequel, N++, is right here on Steam. If you are reading this and haven't played either one yet, buy RITE first to support a great indie game!
