Totally worth picking up on sale I played this game on a keyboard and mouse, and the only problem I had was my finger getting tired from constantly holding down sprint/gallop. Overall, it's a silly but fun experience. The game doesn't take itself seriously at all. There's beatboxing bards, a configurable blood level, and a dedicated burp/fart button. At times the game is frustrating when driving around carts, and there are several instances where you'll get stuck on something. The worst glitch I encountered was save files bleeding data into other saves. I had a couple safe houses already unlocked on my second playthrough and even a MurderFest (Rampage) not spawn. Both of the DLCs add plenty more fun things to game, so I recommend picking those up as well.

Pierogi Beatbox has got to be peak music in 1200s sometime. Tip: Do not compare this game with GTA III and up. Helps you rant less about the quality. General: - The control is janky at times, but it's not as bad as recent Steam reviews suggest. Though it might be true on controllers. Keyboard and mouse works fine if you remember where the crosshair is. - The graphics are somewhat mobile-esque, despite not being one (at least from the Wikipedia article). But still, you shouldn't judge this game from graphics, for it is servicable. Combat, and horsing around: - The combat is uhh... I'd say Dark-Souls like, but I only based the reference on the fact that there is a roll button in place of jump. It's really fun to roll into things and smash fences and/or barrels. They can put up a fight, sure but you can easily cheese it with dodge and roll once you do it enough times. - Police chases (-ish) are either awful or "oh come on" (could be in-between), though it stems from the fact that you have to combat the top down camera (tip: put the crosshair at the corner of the screen to extend the view) while being chased by extremely fast police horses (with lights). Police riders can easily slash your horse to death if it's slow. Verdict: - A week left from now until the discount ends (as of writing). I doubt it's worth the original price, but during the sale? Absolutely. - I couldn't say much about the DLCs, since I didn't want to buy them. Read what the reviews for them have to say instead. - You might as well get yourself the artbook (it's only 40 pages long though) for what I'd assume is to be less than a dollar. Probably the soundtrack too, which I think is 3 dollars.

An awesome game loved it from start to finish. I enjoyed the comedy in the game the lines were hilarious. This is a great early gta clone imo. Would highly recommend it. Would love a part 2 in third person mode. Definitely worth getting.

While being repetitive and not particularly deep, from a gameplay point of view, Rustler is fun enough. The top-down view will cause you to crash into obstacles way too often, your character will get stuck into enemies and structures while moving around (expecially if you are using mouse+keyboard). Dialogues are fun, cultural references enjoyable and the game is, at least, self aware of its "status". 6/10 buy on sale.
