I beat it in five hours and wanted a bit more to be honest.... Without involving the semantics of being a blatant rip-off of Game Dev Tycoon, mind you a game that is not available in my country on Steam, I can therefore without bias say this little game is not as good as Game Dev Tycoon, but it is a cheap and functional substitute. There is not a lot of replay value here because of the low number of settings, places where productions are filmed, and a lot of nonsense similar topics of subject matter that don't gel as well with those settings. There is some interest in the progression system but not a lot more than just one playthrough. But I still might come back around for more because of the novelty of making funny named series' and then see them become blockbuster hits. If Game Dev Tycoon is available in your country you can have that internal monologue about the ethics of supporting a cheap rip-off game and maybe I'll do so when that game is available for purchase in my country later perhaps.

Buggy as hell, yet still fun. You'll get bankrupt many times without actually meeting the coditions for getting bankrupt, but still fun. Dev, if you read this: I know what the problem is. Your game checks after every single calculation of the budget if the conditions for the bankruptcy are met and since you first lose the money you have to pay and then get the money you get for the day you can go bankrupt even with over 200.000 ingame $. It's easy to fix, either you check for bankruptcy after you did all the calculations for the day or you simply first add the money for a day and then subtract the expenses. It would fix the most annoying and most present bug in the game and make it way better.

Tried to make an awful movie to see if I could purposefully suck. Made an space-alien/fashion movie called Terrestrial Tiearra and got 10s across the board. What I learned: You can add whatever second theme you'd like and it won't effect the movie as a whole (at the time of writing this). 10/10 Made a series called Crack Heroine, which was a successful franchise as compared to Law & Order and the Cars series I made.

NOTE : I gave this a thumbs up for what this game can be with some alterations This is basically Game Dev Tycoon but for movies instead of games. AS in Game Dev Tycoon, you start in your garage with no money and no tech, but as you progress you unlock new tech, new studios etc etc. The game works just like Game Dev Tycoon in that you allocate three sliders to match what kind of movie you are making, and you need to find an optimal placement for them, and eventuallly you get to add in more and more tech stuff to your movies. PRO: -builds on Game Dev Tycoon -loads of research -you get a sense of progression -price CON: -language errors (translated from German to English) -very lacking tutorial. Aka it says "you need to have enough fans before making medium films" but does not tell you what "enough" is. -you cannot make (atleast as far as I have progressed) cross genre movies. I chose history-medival and set up the comedy part for my "Camelot is a silly place" movie (Monthy Python style was my thinking), but was told that comedy was not right for gistory-medival. -a few GUI issues that I feel could have been better than they are So to conclude, the game shows promise, but could use with some patching, and maybe some mods.
