The store description is pretty on point, as it is an extremely absurd game, which for me was a bit of a slow burn, but I then warmed up to its style and overall enjoyed the adventures of Shooty and her friends. Good -Just the look/art style of the game is striking, it nails being extremely unique compared to other games out there. -While the humor is not going to hit for everyone (trailer and such will give you a heavy indication what you'll be seeing), there are some solid jokes and writing to enjoy. -There are many robots to destroy and all of them have their own quirks/attacks that you have to adjust to handling. While the loop in general (explore/kill robots) may not vary much, appreciate that each level is for the most part unique in terms of the obstacles you're dealing with. -Cutscenes are great little breaks to just watch how absurd things get in this world. -There are tons of characters each with their own quirks and dialogue, so it was a goal of mine to see all of them, always keeping an eye out for the floating ? icons. Not So Good -While that was fun to exhaust all the lines NPCs and such had, it was not fun if you accidentally got into conversation you had already seen. There is no way to speed it up or bail out of the conversation, so you just end up mashing on the button to get through it. Wish there was a way to just cancel out of one of those -Some bosses/fights feel a bit over-tuned to be more challenging, as I ended up in a few fights where I just could not run and put distance between myself and the boss, so it was hoping and praying things worked out (and they did). The game is absolutely only for people that vibe with the approach and humor, but for those that do, the dev has done a great job.

If the trailer looks good/funny then you'll like the game. Bit weird how different the first stage is, and there's a lack of qol stuff like rebinds and cutscene speed up/skip, but it's still a good time. Bit buggy as of writing this review, 1 softlock, 1 hardlock, and 2 crashes (only one made me replay stuff though), and for some reason the controller sensitivity randomly switched from being extremely low sens to normal sens twice while playing (or it could have been normal sens to high sens idk).

SSRI (Shooty Shooty Robot Invasion) is a 10/10 GOTY title, a certified hood classic, and probably the best $10 I've spent all year. Lovingly hand-drawn textures and sprites build a colorful world of stupid people that are a blast to talk to, with levels constantly changing up the amount of action and tricking you into investing in bit characters' tragic backstories. SSRI (Shooty Shooty Robot Invasion) is an easy-enough challenge that may still see you die or fail a few times by the end, shooting some pretty fun guns and superman-punching your way to victory. The real focus however is the characters. From recurring heart-throbs to one-off jokes, SSRI (Shooty Shooty Robot Invasion) is the premier entertainment venue for lovers of HOT, STINKY WOMEN and BEEFCAKES WITH COLD NIPS. #MyPresident I wholeheartedly endorse this experience and guarantee you will have a blast, and if you conclude otherwise then this time i'm really gonna do it i swear to god

All things considered, "Shooty Shooty Robot Invasion" is probably the only possible fitting name for a game like this. It's like that PS3 game demo you played a bajillion times back when you were eight years old, playing the first level over and over again until ages later you got the full game and everything felt off because you're not used to there being any content you aren't already used to. Anywaysss it's pretty fun. It IS a narrative game first, an FPS game second, but the actual gunplay is pretty dang solid. The dialogue is about as silly as you'd expect from a game titled like this, and there's a LOT of it, which tickles my brain because I'm never satisfied until I exhaust literally every single possible NPC dialogue in games. My only real gripes with the game are that there's no level selection as far as I'm aware so you can't quickly replay some late-game segments (which is a feature that can be retroactively added if need be though), and that the ending is rather abrupt in the sense that you can't shoot all that you wish you could shoot, but there's nothing that 50 more entries of "SHOOTY SHOOTY [NOUN] INVASION" can't fix I really hope pizza doesn't go extinct. 9.5/10
