Sky Force Reloaded is a really fun shooter, that isn't a bullethell. It has tons of upgrades and things to unlock. Beautiful 3D graphics, satisfying explosions, excellent sound design, and incredibly tight shmup controls. The Bad: Because of its mobile phone roots, Sky Force doesn't just judge your skill ... it judges your patience. You start the game with a weapon that feels like a pea shooter. To fix this, you are practically forced to replay Stage 1 and Stage 2 over, and over... and over... and then replay them even more ... to hoard stars to buy upgrades. To upgrade your main weapon it takes a long time, but the best choice early on is the magnet upgrade, which helps you to gather more stars easier. Which means playing 2 to 3 hours playing with the pea shooter, which are not really fun. Also don't be confused by the "Weapon Upgrade" pickups in the stages, those upgrade your shot frequency ... not your shot power.
