It's a fun game, but suffers from crashes when the screen gets too busy. This may well be on account of me having an Intel GPU, a brand that didn't exist when this came out. I'm stuck on a mission I can't finish due to too many objects and asteroids spawning, so I can't speak for the balance of the later levels, or long the game is. The game relies on grinding to a degree. At least when you want to have a less hectic time to get full stars on a mission. Upgrades to the weapons, utilities and engines you can place always end in a 20% performance boost, so "grind to win" can be the solution if you're stuck somewhere.
Welcome to Space Run A space tower defense game where you have to strategize everything. Unlike most tower defense games where you can just sit back and let one overpowered tower carry everything, that rule doesn’t apply here. You must manage your economy properly and pay attention to the types of enemy spaceships. Progress through the game to earn points that can be used to unlock new towers and battle skills. Minus/complain: [*] Game crashes. In my case, it happened because I restarted too many times, and then the game just closed without warning or reason. Score: [*] Tower defense: 9/10 — Fun and addicting. [*] Strategy: 8/10 — The real challenge lies in trying to achieve 5 stars on every mission. I don’t recommend playing on expert difficulty. [*] Price: 10/10 — I bought the game because it was very cheap, but instead I found a hidden gem. Grab the game while on sale! [*] Gameplay: You could probably achieve 100% completion faster than I did if you play on the easiest difficulty. I played on the normal (intended) difficulty for my first playthrough, which is surprisingly hard to beat. 30 fun total achievements. [*] Overall: 9/10 — Mainly because I’m the target audience for this kind of game. Losing is part of the fun strategize again with the information you have and be efficient. This is not a game for those who are easily overwhelmed; you must do a lot of multitasking and fast keybinding, ironically like an RTS game. Pausing is not an option.
