Amazing! Yes, it's another battle Royale... However this is VR. Seriously. OK so the good: Weapons handling is bearable Able to pick up multiple gear, reloads weapons well The world is full of Easter eggs (if you look) Feels like playing PubG in a few ways, but this game definitely makes their own rules... Game performance. Not much lag. What could be better: Having an assigned button (a for the oculus) to release the mag before being able to pull it out I've accidentally pulled the mag while pulling the charging handle to prime the weapon, which leaves me defenseless Probably a steam problem, but the floor is too low, so if I drop a weapon or mag, it's gone. I can't reach lower than the real floor. Ladders.... I fall often if I miss a rung. Should have an auto-stand feature so climbing ladders doesn't just drop of you accidentally let go. Rails- on rooftops: let us grab them and hop over. I had to crawl under it. Rails- in buildings you can walk through. Not a big deal. Graphics suck. I, however, don't care. The performance in this game is excellent: minimal lag. For me it's about the mechanics which are doing very well for early access. Overall this game is great. Being able to react with your own body in battle Royale is well, the purpose of VR in my mind. These guys have done well. Money well spent.

If you enjoy games like Fortnite, PUBG, etc... and have access to VR get this Over 170 hours so far... Weapons need to be loaded with ammo, and cocked. If it's automatic, single fire mode is a click away (high tone is single, low tone is auto). Inventory window? No no no. Just stick your ammo and weapons wherever you want on you. Be careful with knives when you're in a squad, and if I see you holding a jerry can you're gonna go boom. If you're sent back to the title screen after your squad presses ready, just click ready yourself and you'll be sent into the same lobby as them. Vehicle control is jankey, yet surprisingly controllable given enough usage, including the helicopter. There are bots. They do not land with weapons, yet within the first few minutes they conjure weapons. They know when you poke your head out from a spot even if you're not in their field of view. Given all of this, their aim is not too good at a distance so their presence is welcome for rank grinding. When I go to put on my Oculus, it's to play either Echo VR or STAND OUT, because of their immersive movement systems. If your hand can reach the top of a surface, you can pull your body up to that surface. For example, the old map had giant radio antennae towers, and through careful climbing, one could reach the top. That same grabbing system can be used to propel yourself forward in a Sprint Vector like manner. With proper practice and rhythm, one can go substantially faster than joystick pushers. This is the only VR game I know of where one can take weapons out of people's hands, leading to either both scrambling for a weapon, or them both standing there, one laughing and one dumbstruck and seconds from death. Highly recommend this game. China #1

I've only played this game a short time, but it is absolutely one of the most fun VR games yet. The game doesn't look pretty, and could use some tweaking, but it's getting there. Gameplay: The controls can be a bit awkward, but you can use them to your advantage to help you move around quickly and dodge incoming fire. I would definitely recommend using the touch-turn feature. This keeps you from getting tangled up in your cords and, in my opinion, helps you move faster. Aiming is difficult to learn, and is definitely hindered by the resolution of the headset itself. Once you get the aiming down though, you'll be slaying plebs in no time. Weapons all handle very well, with the exception of the slow "reset time" that some of the guns suffer from. I understand the recoil being higher on certain weapons, but when you shoot sometimes it can take 1-2 seconds for your gun to fully reset to where you are holding your hands. When you let go of the trigger, it should reset faster in my opinion. Grenades are a bit tricky to learn and throw, and even after using at least 1 per game since i've started playing, they are still pretty buggy. Sometimes they won't come out of your hand, and other times they will drop straight to the floor leaving you with hardly any time to reach down, pick it up, and attempt to throw it again. The blast radius is immense which can be a little overpowered and can also kill you easily. Sometimes grenades can kill you through walls, so that is another negative point but easily addressed. Consumables are far and few between. Mostly located, though rarely will appear in regular houses, in medical tents or the hospital. Not much to say here. Apples heal 20 hp. Pills heal for 30 to 40 hp. Seems random on the pills. Using the consumable is very easy. Simply put the to your face. I would like, however, for the consumables to immediately drop the unusable apple cores or empty pill bottles. Also more variations of consumables such as bandages and boosters that slowly heal you over time. Driving is a extremly disorienting and difficult. I'm sure tweaks will be implimented. You can drive and shoot and its a lot of fun, but as you guess, difficult. Steering is done almost exclusively with the left hand and it pretty shoddy. You dont turn like you would a steering wheel, but rather point your hand in the direction you want to go. There is also a helicopter, which in my opinion has no sense being in the game. Combat is usually pretty short. This could be a good and a bad thing. Combat will typically last you less than 30 seconds unless you and your oponent are absolutely terrible at aiming. However, in the earlygame when you first hit the ground, it can be hectic as you can steal guns and other items from their hands/chest. Just because you get the gun first, doesn't mean you win the fight. Your enemy could wait until you have loaded the gun, and take it from you and kill you. Sneaking up on someone, however, means you can almost always win the fight. If you get close enough and they aren't paying attention to you, you can steal thier gun and confuse them and kill them. It is extremely satisfying to do this. Overview: Overall, the game is in early access and most likely will be for a long time. But it is 100% worth the money. It is the most fun i've had playing a VR game. You can also talk shit to people you kill/ get killed by. It's amazing simply put. $25 isn't a bad price for this game if you take into account it's VR. They had to develop a fully playable VR enviroment for people to murder each other in. Ratings Gameplay 8/10 - could use some bug tweaks to really polish this game out Combat 9/10 - No more perfect accuracy Shrouds on PUBG to stomp you. Graphics 5/10 - Definitely needs work, but not immersion breaking. Disorientation 4/10 - This game can make you disoriented at first, jumping out of planes and driving cars, but once you are used to it, it gets better I promise. Total 8/10 - would buy again. Thank you for reading.

Played on GTX 1060 (6gb), HTC Vive TL;DR It's not very pretty, the controls can be awkward, the sound needs some work, and it's pretty buggy at times. Basically the same experience I've had with the real PUBG on Xbox. This one, however, is in VR, and that makes all the difference. You can tell straight away that it's an early access game, but if you're willing to look past that, it can be a really fun experience. Warnings: Motion Sickness, Occasional Low Player Count (although improving), High Price Gameplay: Just like PUBG, you are dropped via parachute onto an island full of murderous people. You scavenge buildings for weapons and gear, and you compete to be the last man standing. As you participate, you get points and unlock loot boxes that contain clothing for your character. You can select your character in the main menu. You can customize his/her appearance with clothes you get from said loot boxes. These are gender locked, however. So if you unlock a pair of shoes, for example, and you don't find them on the customization menu, it's likely because it belongs to the opposite gender. Once you're done, click on "ready" and you'll be taken to the lobby. Here you can sort of explore the map a bit and test out some of the weapons while the game gathers enough players to start. There should be two(2) different maps at the time of this review. Once the game starts, you'll find yourself on top of an airplane. Not in it... on top. Those who suffer from motion sickness should probably close their eyes at this point. You can see the island in the distance but you cannot jump off just yet, you need to wait until you're inside of the blue circle. You can check here you are by looking at your left wrist, here you can see a map of the entire island and where the barrier is. On the top you can find the player count, and on your watch there is a red number that pertains to your current health. Once you're inside of the circle, you can press the right trigger to jump off. Once you're off the plane, you may use your left trackpad to move to the area where you want to land and go scavenge some gear. You can actually land inside buildings through windows and other openings if you time it right. Find weapons as quick as possible and be the last player a live to win the game. Be careful to always stay inside the barrier. Periodically, the circle will get smaller and smaller, and you’ll take damage if you remain outside of it. The game will announce when this happens so you want to use your map to know the location of the barrier. Movement: Once you land, either trackpad moves you around (sometimes it can be a bit unresponsive). The only movement option available is smooth locomotion so players who experience motion sickness should be wary. You also have the option to enable snap turning to your right track pad, although you may not want to. Sometimes it is convenient, but as of this moment, it's more of a headache (see Weapons). You may also vault over objects like fences, railings and even enter buildings through windows by using the top button of your wand. This is especially useful when traveling on tough terrain. Your character won’t be able to walk up very steep hills but sometimes you can that button to climb it (sometimes). Weapons: As far as I can tell, there’s only one(1) melee weapon (combat knife), and you can't punch people. You’re supposed to be able to also throw the combat knife, but I have not yet been able to perfect the technique. Once you find your first weapon, you can use the grip buttons to equip it. This applies to guns, knives, and grenades. For other items like ammo clips and health pickups, you may use either the grip buttons or the triggers. The grip button picks up and holds the item until you press it again, the trigger picks up but only holds the item as long as you have the trigger pulled. The weapons seem to be random and they "respawn" a while after you've picked them up. They come in a variety of models and configurations. Some may only have iron sights, but sometimes you may find the same weapon with a scope, for example. You need to manually reload and "c0ck the gun" or chamber the rounds. There's usually ammo for that weapon beside it, so you want to load your weapon and store the rest. You do this by taking the extra clip and sticking it onto your body (even behind your back or over your shoulder). There seems to be an invisible bubble around you that "holds" items for you. If you grabbed the clip with the grip button, press the grip again near your body to stick it there. If you grabbed it with the trigger, just let go of the trigger near your body and it should stick. One thing to note is that you CAN carry multiple weapons on your person, and even dual wield. There seems to be a limit on how many items you can carry, however. I can't say for sure what the cap is, but chances are, you'll most likely die before you get to use them all. Some weapons feature different firing modes, however, when you try and change it, your character will either move or rotate (depending on your settings) because you need to press the trackpad to change firing mode. If you didn't enable snap turning, it's no big deal, your character may slightly move. But if you did, you might find yourself getting killed because you turned away from the enemy while trying to change from single to auto. Some weapons, like rifles, you can hold with two(2) hands, although I have not noticed and improvement regarding recoil when you do, I'm still testing it. You may also find health pickups like fruit or painkillers scattered around the map. You may use these to heal yourself by grabbing and holding them near your face. You may check your current health status on your left watch. Grenades go boom, remember to throw them AWAY from you and never stick them to yourself once you’ve pulled the pin… There’s also smoke grenades. Oh, and don’t shoot yourself... Vehicles: There are several vehicles found throughout the map, they are HORRIBLE to drive but it's so much fun mowing people down with a machine gun while riding around the map on an ATV. There's also a buggy, a motorcycle, and even a helicopter. Those that suffer from motion sickness should probably walk. To drive you do NOT need to "enter" the car like other games. Instead, you literally walk inside or through it and position yourself where you want to drive. Then press any trigger to accelerate, you will then use that same hand to steer. It's awkward and weird... but fun. You don't want to "pretend" you're holding a steering wheel. Instead, try and keep your wand straight and steer by moving it left and right in front of you. You may use your remaining hand to shoot at other players while driving. Once you want off, just let go of the trigger and walk away. Final Thoughts: At this time, I think the price of admission is a little too high. Maybe around $15 would have been the sweet spot for me. But all in all, it was a fun experience. Not without its faults. There are plenty of things that need work, but if the developers actually keep supporting it, I think this game could be great. I do recommend you try it, especially if you enjoy PUBG. *Edited for grammatical errors, may update as I play more.

Graphics are shitty, gameplay is ok-ish, weapon handling is shit audio is shit, and overall the game is rougher than 50 grit sand paper rubbing on an elephants scrotum, but I did manage to steal a guys ammo from his hand right when he was about to load his gun. Ran upstairs and found an AK. Came back down and ventilated the guy. 10/10 would yoink ammo from people's hands. after playing for a few more hours, I can fully reccomend this game. It is really fun and addictive. *****PROTIP***** If you want to better stabilize the gun use your non-dominant hand's thumb and rest your dominant hand's controller on the upper knuckle of your thumb it works extremely well for me. I can easily hit prople at 200m with iron sites. When you hold your controllers this way the non-dom hand snaps into a grip position in front of the magazine and stabilizes the weapon. Don't bother with the "gun tube" accesory. This method is super easy and allows for better control. Also, Burst firing SMGs and Tap Firing ARs is the best way to go at longer ranges.
