Rough start but with the first Major update the game has made a great leap in the right direction, updating its economy, reworking certain mechanics and adding a decent selection of cosmetics to unlock. While missed out items from previous events are still a hot FOMO debate, SRV has the luck of having a dev team that listened to player feedback and works on improving the game and helping the community grow. As of the current state, while not crowded, there is at least a handful of players on at each time. The community still has its way to grow but finding other divers via official channels remains a fairly easy process and feels more rewarding and personal like the days of oldschool MMOs before party finders and matching queues became the norm.

I heard about the partial refund due to the price change. I paid full price, and yes, I do think the price was rather high for the amount of content available. But I won’t be asking for a refund. The game is clearly well made and has tons of heart put into it. I just hope to see more characters, variety in gameplay, and customization unlockables that can be purchased with game currency. I have high hopes for this game. Keep my money, just keep delivering a great experience, as you’ve done so far. Shoutout to you guys for doing the right thing and offering refunds to those who want! It was the right choice :)

This game had a buggy release, but I do like what they are going for and all the signs point toward the development team being dedicated to making the game successful. I played a bunch of the demo, and let's be clear... there were flaws in the release that should not have existed if sufficient testing had been accomplished. Things like the gamepad entirely non functional on certain menu screens... basic stuff. That said... the combat is fun, and they plugged in a twin stick mode as well as a lock on mode which I appreciate. The gamepad support for the actual combat is good. The colors and sounds are wonderful, and the co-op matchmaking has been good so far for as much as I've played. I love the art style and the general attitude this game brings. I know the hub will be a mixed bag, being a multiplayer social environment... but I kind of like it. It makes the game feel less lonely, and that sets it apart from other roguelites. The tutorial could use some smoothing out and make it harder to have windows and pop ups just flash by that you miss. All in all, this is a cautious and tentative yes because I want the game to succeed, and I think the developers can pull it off if they focus on the right areas.

I've been really enjoying the game. I love the aesthetic and character designs. They each feel like they have well thought out playstyles to explore, but I look forward to seeing how some of the more underwhelming skills line up after some inevitable balancing passes. I'm not personally all that invested in the social aspect. That may change as it gets expanded upon, but I do very much enjoy the core gameplay loop of diving the dungeons and its clear that has thankfully been the primary focus of development. There's definitely room for improvement in a lot of areas but it's Early Access so that's to be expected. They've also been very open to feedback and are actively addressing common pain points. It's worth noting there is certainly valid criticisms for the current state of the game but there's also quite a bit of blatant disinformation being pushed about it being a potential "rug pull" based on some seemingly deluded vendetta against the CEO by one individual with a confirmation bias. Which is all the more disrespectful to the entire team of artists and engineers to imply they would spend their energy and risk their reputations just to allow that. I appreciate the desire to be transparent and not appear like silencing dissent, but it's genuinely a wonder that the post hasn't been locked and the user banned at this point for frankly some of the most unhinged borderline stalker behavior toward multiple devs I've seen on a Steam board so far. Speaking of valid criticisms, some things I would really like to see addressed would be: Some more accessibility and legibility, namely regarding the vfx and telegraphing of moves to be clearer what is an enemy and what is my own and what is an ally. Ideally being able to adjust the colors of each of these separately as well to accommodate for different forms of color blindness. An adjustment to the current fishing system. It doesn't feel great to spend maybe an hour on a run just to buy a new fishing rod and have it break after 10 uses. Like I said I'm not super invested at the moment in the social aspect but if the desire hits me I'd like to be able to hang out and fish for a while without having to worry about my basic rod breaking. There needs to be a option in the in game menu to change characters because having to log out to the main screen just to do that is a little convoluted and does not feel good at all. Those are some of my main concerns for now. Looking forward to see how it progresses given the devs clear desire to fix things and improve the game. If you're comfortable trying out Early Access titles, I highly recommend giving it a try and see if you enjoy it.

It's good and definitely more polished than what it was in the closed beta and demo. It's smooth, but the only complaints I have is: - Certain UI aspects + map change: Instead of being able to choose either or, you get matchmade into an instance for the Sky map or the new Castle map varying on the difficulties you set on up. There's no unlock conditions specified for the extra difficulty and map either. No information is given in regards to that at all. - Dodging: It did get severely nerfed from the last beta. Kira suffers from this the most as she is not able to dodge at all to make use of her dodge attack. Other characters get on by just fine. Kira does have an ability that helps mitigate this however. - No fast travel in the hub: Pretty self explanatory. The game told me to go southwest for the new crafting area of trinkets and there's definitely no compass to help lead the way in regards to that, let alone quest markers beyond the quest pop-up one time that only tells you a cardinal direction. - Fishing rods: The fact the standard one breaks is a bit wack, especially for people who are purely fishers. The higher rarity ones could be the ones to break rather than the standard one, allowing for people to fish whenever they want, but not to the proficiency of other rods. - Lack of a streamer mode: Some people are wack and have wack names and should be able to be hidden in all streaming purposes. This ties into at least wanting to have only the names of your friends more distinguished over others. So, hide the names of others but keep friends visible is one thing. Same with the chat to be able to be toggled off. Other than that, the game is solid for what it is and has proper repetition for the gameplay loop. People in the chat are clueless about some things unfortunately like where to use fish, which may either just be a problem of literacy and a lack of a tutorial that guides users in the actual hub world outside of the combat tutorial.
