Beautiful edition to the library of point and click games from Wormwood Studios truely a masterpiece in the genre short and sweet, doesnt overstay its welcome as the theme could get very overwhelming. puzzles are thematic have meaning and fun to workout you can tell they were play tested and polished(rare these days). At the start i could see this was going to be an exploration of ones mind on the level of Max payne and Alan wake and didnt disappoint in making me look inward and putting myself in the characters place.

Edit: Seeing the Dev respond, and making a suggestion on how to enjoy the game more, I am happy to change my overall rating to recommend it. As I said, even if it's not entirely my cup of tea, I am happy to see a Dev care about their game and help the user enjoy it more. I think for now my thoughts will stay the same, but I will indeed replay with commentary on to get some insight into the mechanics of building such a game. Thank you Mark Y. for your suggestion and taking the time to read my thoughts. I genuinely wish I could leave a mixed review, because it isn't a BAD game by any means! The art is nice, the voice acting is A+, the story is also engaging, depressing, and well-written! So what went wrong? Well...it's...hollow. As someone with depression, I feel that even with the fancy metaphors and gruesome artwork, this game only scratches the surface on what true pain feels like. The in-your-face storyline does nothing to develop the character beyond "The Stranger" and the artwork, though well-done and eerie, only serves to take away from what could have been a deeply emotional and riveting game. It's as if the artist put all their effort into making things shocking, rather than meaningful. The effort and care put into this game (which, I can tell, was a lot!) means nothing when there is no "umph" behind it. The ending is abrupt, with a 'twist' we all see coming and our character remains as he was at the beginning of the game, with no depth, no changes, and lots of unanswered questions to the point of it being unsatisfying. It's an unreasonably short game, finishing at 4ish hours while exploring and taking my time to really engage with the world around me. The writing and dialogue is beautiful and eloquent, but does nothing to push our character or the world he's submersed in forward, remaining stagnant right until the end. If you like puzzles to scratch your brain, beautiful voice acting and an easy to understand but engaging story, this game is absolutely for you. Like I said, it's not bad by any means, it's just that it's the tip of an enormous iceberg, and the Dev's didn't chip away at it quite enough to satisfy me. With more play time, exploration, and explanation I feel this could have been a top game for me. But it's too short, too 'fancied-up' and too hollow for me to feel anything but "eh" before moving onto the next one. I will be keeping my eye on Wormwood Studios, because I feel the talent and love of games is there, I just didn't see it fully spanned out here.

Bought this game on a whim because of how the art style looked and because I wanted to unwind with an atmospheric adventure point & click game, with a controller in hand (I played on the SteamDeck). I didn't expect such a high quality game with slight hints of important and deep psychological themes. It's also a short game, which I loved (I beat it in 5 hours). As the game starts a developer's message appears that tells you that this game is unlike most similar games because it's designed so that you don't "try everything on everything". Frankly, the latter is one of the major reasons I dislike such games for. Well, after beating the game, I can confirm that the developers have achieved their goal. The puzzles are mostly logical and intuitive. You still have to test what works and where but it's far from brute-forcing everything. All the hints are within the game at all times. The story is mostly an outline where not much is learned about the events that had taken place before the game, however, they're not that important. What's important is what happens to the main character right now as we play. The voice acting is phenomenal for such a small game and presumably -- a budget. The art style is gorgeous, albeit unsettling at times and bordering horror (it is definitely not, though). Still, there are unique aesthetics and atmosphere that this art style, the sound and the themes, explored in the game, create. There are LOTS of references to all kinds of things -- mythological characters, pop-culture jokes/themes and deep psychological concepts and ideas. Curiously, be warned that if you've been looking inward or have had dark mental experiences recently, the game potentially can send you on an inner reflection journey and it may or may not be for you if you don't want such experiences.

I really liked the art style, atmosphere, voice acting and story. The game is short, but it's as long as it needs to be, and doesn't overstay its' welcome.

I played a lot longer than this as I was translating the game. Full and full with great content, puzzles, dark humour, interesting references. Also the mood of the game was fitting. Eye opening about personal life and psychological concepts.
