This is a fun little chat feature to add for your community. I was first made aware of Stream Avatars after watching another streamer using it. From a viewer point of view, it was quite fun having my own choice of avatar on the streamer's screen. And with all the other viewers having avatars, it made you feel automatically like you were instantly a member of the community. There is a huge variety of avatars from various anime and video games. From a streamer perspective, this has many great uses to make your community more engaged. First and foremost, each viewer is able to choose from the library of avatars you make available. This allows each of your viewers to feel like they have a unique identity that makes them stand out from all your other viewers. Secondly, Stream Avatars features different chat commands your viewers can use to do things like attack other viewers' avatars. This gives chat a fun little game to play amongst each other. Thirdly, you can launch little boss battles in chat. With various Boss characters you can download, you can allow your viewers to use their avatars to fight bosses. It's yet another great way to engage your chat. Lastly, and my personal favorite, you can launch a big free-for-all fight for all your viewers to partake in. You viewers watch as all the avatars fight it out until only one is left on screen. With all of these cool little activities, each earns your viewers Avatar Points. As a streamer, you can take advantage of this cool feature by hosting contests or raffles, etc giving viewers with the most accumulated points extra incentive for bigger chances to win whatever giveaways you may have. Also, as a little side note, Stream Avatars is also a great way to know when someone has entered your stream, as once someone enters your stream, they are automatically given an avatar at random. All-in-all, it's a fun, engaging way to grow and give yourself a more active chat with streaming. Highly recommend it. And, I feel, it's very worth the price.

It's fun, but lots of people don't like to see a representation of themselves on the screen while they are lurking. Be sure to set it to only display avatars for people who are actively chatting.

My viewers and I absolutely love this, but my biggest issue is not being able to add more avatars from the workshop as I´ve reached the limit even with the expanded dlc option. Please add more!!!

Stream Avatars First Impressions Stream Avatars is basically the digital equivalent of adding a bunch of adorable little minions to your stream. They bounce around, interact with your chat, and generally make everything feel more alive. It’s like inviting a bunch of tiny friends to hang out on your screen—and who doesn’t want that? Pros Easy to set up, easy to use. Seriously, if you can plug in a toaster, you can probably manage this software. Tons of options for avatars and backgrounds. Want a pixel art dragon? Sure. Want your chat to be running around as little penguins in space? Go for it. Super interactive. Your chat can control their little avatars, so now they’re not just watching—they’re part of the show. Adds a fun, playful vibe to streams. It’s like your chat is bouncing around, waving at you, and occasionally tossing each other into digital volcanoes. If it fits your theme, or you just feel like having a bunch of tiny, chaotic friends on screen, this is a no-brainer. Grain of Salt Best suited for creative folks. If you like creating custom avatars or experimenting with art, this is your playground. But if your artistic skills are limited to stick figures (like mine) use the workshop. Customization is a little tricky if you don’t know how to design mini characters, so you might end up with avatars that aren’t exactly what you envisioned. But hey, if you’re into zelda or pokemon, you’re golden. Negatives If you’re not into creating avatars or lack the time to design your own, you might get stuck with avatars that don’t quite fit your theme—or worse, don’t excite your viewers. And let’s be honest, no one wants a bunch of disinterested avatars just moping around your stream. The Verdict: 6.6/10 Stream Avatars is a delightful, easy-to-use tool that can add a fun, interactive element to your streams. It’s perfect for streamers who love adding a bit of personality and playfulness to their content—and it gives your chat something to do besides spamming emotes. While it’s best suited for those who want to get creative with custom avatars, even the default options bring plenty of charm. So if you’re looking to bring a little more life (and chaos) to your streams, this app is a solid investment.
