Short version: Free-diving simulation. Extremely realistic, just plain beautiful, very relaxing. Details: As someone who has done scuba diving and worked at an aquarium for a while, I just had to try the demo - and it blew my mind. I bought the full version right away. The game in its most basic form is a free-diving simulation. But calling it that doesn't do it justice. The only objective is to explore. Find all the elements and items scattered around the map. No timer, no pressure, just remember to come up to breathe once in a while. The more you explore, the more upgrades will get unlocked that make future exploring easier and faster. That's really it gameplay-wise. This simplicity may not appeal to everyone, but that's not where the game shines, so please read on. The game shines with its realism, beautiful graphics, and loving attention to details. I have not come across another VR game that looks and feels this real. The landscapes above and below the water are stunning and beautiful. The creatures you find - and you will have to search hard for some - are extremely real both in how they look, how they move, and how they react to your presence. They can even be "touched" if you're fast enough, and I wish VR had the technology to transmit the feeling of shark skin to your fingers. The critters also seem to be aware of their environment as their pathing takes the boundaries of the environment into account. And there are many small details that make the game really immersive - the nose piece of swimming goggles on your face, the sound of bubbles in your ears as you enter and exit the water. Overall, I find the game extremely relaxing (even one of the scarier maps). The demo gives you access to one training level, but all the elements I described are already present there. The paid version has multiple large maps that are very different from each other, each with their own appropriate environment and wildlife, and some specialty encounters (ever wanted to hang out in a shark cage with a Great White trying to get in?). Note, I don't write reviews much. Maybe I should do it more often. But this game in my opinion deserves to be noticed. I think it is a masterpiece in expanding what is possible in VR.

Something I think is really rare nowadays when it comes to VR games is a game where you really have no primal objective. Not something like a sandbox game, rather exploration or just taking in the scenery, and I think this game is perfect for it. The graphics are incredible, the locations are unique and stunning, and its a great game if you just want to sit back and chill.

I think this is a fantastic game to introduce people to VR with. The swimming mechanic combined with the VR headset really shows how VR can provide unique experiences that other platforms just can't. I showed this game to my dad, who is definitely not a gamer or into computer games, and he loved it. In fact, the next day he bought a Quest 3 and a PC just so he can keep playing it at home! He's since discovered VR golf and Real VR Fishing and is hooked (pun intended).

Everything about it, the flora, fauna, atmosphere, sounds, even the way the light is reflected in the water, how the animals react... It's all just so perfect this is my new relaxation game. I've been scuba diving and snorkeling since I was 8 and out of every game I've played scuba wise non can compare with this one. It's so peak. I would buy every future dlc that this dev releases. you can tell it's a passion project and by God it's the best passion project I've ever seen.
