For the price of admission, you get what's basically the best clone of a john wick/max payne game we've ever had. i highly recommend it if you really wanna shove a glock in a dudes mouth while also doing some wild gunkata moves on your pass time.

**Review updated for 1.0 release** Woah, where the hell did this game come from? This is probably the best John Wick simulator out there, especially if you play it in 3rd person. Should there be an official AAA 'World of John Wick' game, they should hire this studio and use this gameplay as the blueprint. The feel of the action and gameplay is VERY satisfying, taking out entire rooms full of guys with gun-fu feels like you're choreographing your very own John Wick action scene. It requires a bit of skill and practice but the better you get the more you look and feel like the Babayaga, this part I cannot stress enough, videos don't do it justice. I can't remember the last time I played a game that had me grinning and chuckling during action, like a John Wick movie except cooler because I'M doing it, taking out rooms with so much brutal precision I can't help but exclaim "This game is so cool!" I personally prefer 3rd person perspective, while using mouse aim assist, as it allows me to focus more on my movement, melee chains, and situational awareness - you'll see what I mean, it turns shooting into more of a strategic puzzle/timing mechanic while looking super freakin' cool. Strongly desired big features that would make this game perfect for me: - MORE LEVELS! There are already a good amount, but this game is just so goddamn good I just want more sick locations to be the Babayaga in. Even if they are just arena wave survival maps, just give us more playgrounds! - Co-op multiplayer: I know this is a big ask, and probably (definitely) not possible due to fundamental design, but even just 2 player co-op with double enemy spawns to be able to share the fun with a friend would be extremely welcomed (think John Wick + Sofia/Cain/Eve or Leon + Matilda) - More female body type customization: I love that you can roleplay as the Babayaga or Leon with the available customization, and it would be sweet to include the Kikimora or Black Widow type action roleplay into this as well. There are feminine head/face models with feminine haircuts, but the only (somewhat) feminine body type is the latex looking one. Either adding feminine reshapes of existing clothes or exclusive female fits would be really great. - More unlockables: Not as big of a deal but could come alongside new levels? :wink wink nudge nudge: - Mod support: This feature always keeps a game alive. This could enable fan made assets to be used, letting fans add more content like weapons, levels, graphics/texture overhauls, gameplay modifications, sound effects, etc. I've always wanted a game that makes me feel and look like John Wick, and this game hits that spot, making this easily one of my favourite games. I will definitely be playing this game a lot with the sole purpose of getting to a Babayaga/Kikimora skill level. If this game had 'Hitman: WoA' set pieces with 'Ready Or Not' graphics, sound, and weapon feedback responses, 'Suit For Hire' would be the ultimate John Wick game and probably my favourite game of all time - but even for a tiny dev-team and a comicbook art direction, this game really hits the mark.

It really is a good John Wick simulator, rough around the edges but lots of good options to keep it fun and playable at any difficulty level. This is what we need more of instead of massive, expensive-to-develop AAA titles that are overly obsessed with graphics.

Pretty good top-down shooter but it shines the most in third person view. The dev allows you to play it in third person (currently under beta) and it's like a completely different game but amazing! The combat really comes alive in this view. Hope the dev keeps third person in full release.

Suit for Hire is not subtle about its love for the "John Wick" film series, but beyond that obvious point what I think can get lost when saying that is the fact that this game is more than just a tribute act, it fundamentally understands the appeal of the action side of the John Wick films and wholeheartedly goes out of its way to present that love for what that franchise did for modern action movies in video game form. Don't let the isometric view put you off, while yes there's an experimental 3rd person view that you can use in the beta branch of the game (you can access it in the properties tab of the game on steam, it's a buggier version but has the most up to date stuff although with 1.0 around the corner this advice will probably not be needed for very long anyway) the core design definitely is built more around the game-directed camera choices but don't let that fool you into thinking this is any less personal or intense because of it. The situational awareness the camera gives you allows for those insane Wick-esque moments of kicking a guy, turning 180 to shoot 2 people coming back through the door, and then turning back to the guy you kicked and pulling the trigger is pretty awesome, and look I don't want to sound like a psychopath here but being given the murderous powers of John Wick feels pretty f**king amazing xD Guns to melee is seamless and fast, max-payne style slo-mo dives (or John Woo style if that's your preferred flavour) are fun, tying the ammo economy to accurate combos of shots or melee executions encourages this sense of aggressive methodical play, doing cool things fuels your ability to do more cool things, and while you don't have to focus on scores if you don't want to, the sheer satisfaction of what a clean run in this game feels like is the push to replay a level again and again, because it feels great and looks great, it is stylish and fun and hard not to smile while playing. And beyond that the game plays fair, if a shot's going to hit you without you dodging the game telegraphs it very clearly, it doesn't want that always careful play, yes your character is fragile but you are encouraged to use the skills and tools you have to take on the world, if you retreat it's to set up a chokepoint, you dive to reposition, and no matter what you don't stop fighting and you don't back down, you are copyright-free John f**king Wick and it feels fantastic! So if you have a Dog, give that dog a lovely hug and a hello from me, let the dog know how much you love 'em, give 'em a treat, and then boot up this game take on anyone in the world who would even think to hurt your dog because you are John Suit for Hire, and the underworld will know your name!
