The pros - This is a good game with a unique concept and it's pretty fun. Yeah, there's a giant worm chasing you around many different places and you have to use vehicles and power ups to your advantage to outrun it. Eventually it will be accompanied by another worm and it will chase you until you lose. - The developer did some incredible work with all of the vehicles you can use and all the places where they can take you. Seriously, IGCD (International Game Car Database) says there's OVER 1300 VEHICLES, like really, what, 1300? You would think this game is really infinite with that number of cars, and you don't even have to unlock them! They're all free as long as you find them on the side of the road, the problem is, the game really isn't that infinite, but we'll get to that later. - There is an editor for all of the cars in the game, you can even make your own cars. So you thought it ended there? At 1500 vehicles? Nah, turns out you can make your own cars, probably quadrupling the game's vehicle count. Now is the editor super intuitive and amazing and you have every possibility ever? No, not really, but it doesn't stop the game from being even more fun. Additionally, none of the cars in the game are licenced, even though they're clearly based on real vehicles, but the editor allows you to change all of their names so you can really get car-collecting while the developer doesn't have to pay anything for use of the names. The cons - So this whole vehicle number thing is cool, but what do you actually do with them? No, really, you'd think if the game had 1500 vehicles it would be infinite, but as I said it really isn't. It gets repetitive, quickly. You can imagine that if the only thing this game has to show for itself as a big achievement is a number of cars then the gameplay isn't that crazy. Sure, you have some worms and some power ups, but it doesn't really matter. You will see everything the game has to offer in about 5 hours, except for the vehicles, but the vehicles are really all the same, just that they fall into three different categories - land, water and air. They also have different speed stats, but the only thing that truly makes them different from each other is the pixel art (which don't get me wrong, looks amazing, but if that's the only big difference about the 1500 cars in the game then it's not worth it). - The updates don't exist. There is barely ever an update and when there is it usually adds nothing spectacular. The vehicle number or the number of backgrounds might increase, some bugs might get fixed, but you will never truly get anything that will make your brain go "hey, look, this old boring game added some insane stuff, I gotta play it for 5 more hours!!!".

In concept, a really frantic, fun idea. Just don't buy it at the full cost because while having great ideas, it has pretty short legs. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun. But the claim of "1300 unique vehicles" is....extremely generous. Since every car drives the same, just slightly different speeds and durabilities. And that applies to every boat, diesel train, boat, etc.. Just as long as you don't mind things ambushing you from off-screen that you had no real way to predict them. In terms of minor things, the game lists full support for the Xbox gamepad, but only ever displays PC control prompts. The game worked more or less flawlessly...other than the tutorial. Which broke twice. Since running off the screen makes the default cars despawn and the game doesn't replace them. Once left me stuck in that grassy stage. The other time teleported me to the second tutorial level and soft locked the game. So like...that's something you can deal with. Just, uh...try to never tab out while running the game. I tabbed out to Discord and noticed my case fans quickly ramp to 100% speed. Considering the game putting a trivial load on my Ryzen 5900X, this was alarming. I tab back into the game to close it and the fans.....calm right down. I tab back out to look at HWInfo64 and despite having basically no load on the CPU, my CPU is pinned at 81.6°C across all cores...which is the steady state temps of my 5900X under the NH-D15 while it has ALL cores at 100% utilization running heavy professional workloads. So, uh... Just one question. The fuck?

Despite being a very hard game and its last major update having come out 4 years ago, it's actually really really fun and highly replayable.

Very nice game. For a product that hasn't been the center of attention, it is very well made, and all together just fun to play. Kind of has an old feel to it, probably intentionally, but without the limitations. This game is fun to play! Challenging in a good way! Five thumbs up!
