Pros: - Unique game mechanics of eat to grow. - lots of levels to go through compared to other tasty planet/blue game in the series. - has full controller support. Cons: - there is a newer tasty planet game, tasty planet final bite that came out on 23 Jan 2026. - the graphics looks old (but still acceptable in my books). - either you have the gaming skills to unlock the bonus levels by yourself or have to find the complete game save to unlock them. - The space levels on Goo's last normal stage feels repetitive and the size of Goo starts out too small at times making it hard to see. - No further development/bugfixes of the game, including a bug that will cause game save to be deleted if players press alt + f4 to close the game.

The game is generally good if your not going for 100% completion, it adds a ton of new content and characters to play as and the fact that you get to eat Paris and erase it from this planet is a huge upside Now if you do wanna 100% it, it requires you to get 3 stars on every single level (the stars are given to you based on a point system, the points are based on the time you take to complete the level and the amount of times you got hit) and this is where im gonna say the negatives of this game, because in order to complete it you need to get 3 stars on every level on Deadly Difficulty Now that wouldn't be so bad if a lot of the levels in this game weren't straight up death arenas where almost everything kills you or can hit you, getting hit not only decreases your points but it also reduces your size significantly which can cause you to lose the time bonus and lose the 3 stars on the level, and what makes it worse is that sometimes you can bump into something that can kill you off screen because most of the time your gonna be sprinting (to be clear enemies that can kill you off screen are marked, so this could just be a skill issue), combine this with the fact that there are many repetitive levels in this game where you just have to eat small things for 4 minutes to grow big enough to eat 3-4 enemies that chase you and can kill you, and if you make the tiniest mistake and you bump into those enemies your automatically dead and have to spend another 4 minutes doing the same thing, this is personally what i really didn't like about this game because while there are a lot of levels, a lot of them also just lack originality and are too repetitive and are generally not really fun I do still recommend the game though despite its flaws, I just wish some levels were designed better and were more original, but other than that I think the best deal for this game is buying it when its on sale for like 4-3 dollars

Tasty Planet Forever embraces a wonderfully ridiculous premise and commits to it with enthusiasm, delivering an experience that is immediately accessible, steadily satisfying, and unapologetically comedic. Developed and published by Dingo Games, it continues the long-running Tasty Planet series’ tradition of starting players as a tiny creature and letting them consume everything in sight to grow larger. The tone is intentionally lighthearted, driven by arcade pacing and over-the-top escalation rather than narrative depth. From the very first level, the game communicates that size is power, curiosity is encouraged, and the world exists for the sake of being eaten. The core gameplay is deceptively simpleβ€”move, consume objects smaller than yourself, avoid bigger threats until you surpass them, and repeatβ€”but that simplicity is part of its charm. Level design gradually introduces larger environments, more varied layouts, and playful hazards that force players to weave, dodge, and plan their route before devouring the map. As each creature grows, perspective shifts dramatically, transforming familiar surroundings into vast buffet tables. One moment you’re a housecat nibbling pastries and pigeons, and before long you’re swallowing cars, skyscrapers, and eventually entire landmasses. That sense of scale progression is the game’s defining hook, and it’s executed with a comedic flair that never takes itself seriously. What keeps the concept fresh is the variety of protagonists and locations. Each campaign introduces a new animal with its own settingβ€”octopus, shark, bee, rat, dingo, penguin, and eventually a blob of unstoppable grey gooβ€”each themed around a different region or environment. Levels play like comedic dioramas, filled with themed objects to consume and visual jokes that give the game more personality than its mechanics alone. This structure gives the experience a sense of journey and discovery, even without deep storytelling. The progression system is steady, offering a constant stream of new levels, collectibles, and increasingly absurd edible items across more than a hundred stages. Visually, the game embraces a colorful, cartoon-style presentation that pairs perfectly with its absurd premise. Animations are snappy, environments are clearly readable, and objects exaggerate their features just enough to make eating them amusing. Sound and music reinforce the playful toneβ€”every chomp, squeak, or gulp adds to the comedy, and the soundtrack keeps the pacing upbeat without overwhelming the action. The controls are highly responsive, whether using a keyboard, mouse, or controller, making the game approachable for all ages and skill levels. Local co-op support adds another layer of enjoyment, allowing two players to compete or collaboratively devour the world together. The game’s strengths are also where its limitations lie. While the variety of settings and characters helps keep playthroughs entertaining, the core loop remains largely unchanged from start to finish. Players who crave evolving mechanics, narrative stakes, or strategic depth may find the repetition setting in over time. Tasty Planet Forever is designed to be snackable rather than transformativeβ€”a joyful distraction rather than a system-rich game. For those aligned with its goals, the predictability becomes comfort; for others, it may feel like the novelty wears off once the cosmic-scale consumption begins. Despite that, the game delivers exactly what it promises: a cheerful, absurd, endlessly escalating eating spree packed with content and replay value. It is well-priced, highly accessible, family-friendly, and capable of generating genuine laughter through its sheer audacity. Tasty Planet Forever never pretends to be something profoundβ€”it simply wants players to relax, grow uncontrollably, and devour everything that crosses their path. For fans of the series, casual gamers, younger audiences, or anyone looking for a colorful palate cleanser between heavier games, it offers hours of lighthearted fun. It stands as a reminder that sometimes the most entertaining games are the ones that embrace silliness without hesitation. Rating: 8/10
