nothing short of a masterpiece. incredible atmosphere and music, funny gameplay, and an eerie narrative that goes to some very conceptual/metaphorical yet surprisingly real places. very often like a dream, and sometimes like a nightmare, equal parts comedy and horror but never going full force into either, the result is its own unique and uncanny thing. as someone who adores esoteric videogames and has something of a musical background, this game means a lot to me. there is so much detail and art and its just absolutely spectacular start to finish.

Story "heavy" expansion on the idea of Off Peak, with a world just as fun and an even BETTER soundtrack The vibe is here again. It holds itself together more consistently. Things "make sense" more but that does not mean the fantasy is wholly gone, and it remains at times absolutely inscrutable. Underlying ideas and themes appear clearer to me in this one. It feels like the logical expansion of its predecessor. Let's see where it keeps heading.

Really captures the vibes of a great house party. Enjoyed my stay at hotel. The solid grounded writing rubs off against the weird world. It should not work but somehow Cosmic D pulls it off. Creating this surreal lived in world that kinda makes sense. The closest work you could compare it to is the film "the lobster". I would go into what exactly makes it great but that would lead into spoilers. Since this is a very short game. (2 to 3 hours) I would suggest a playthru. The stand out to me is the soundtrack. A mix of house, DnB and jazz. Its really nice. Head bop inducing.
