⭐⭐⭐⭐ While it is a shame that this game was abandoned by the developers, at least it wasn't left in the sorry state Friday the 13th was. Riddled with hackers and achievements you could no longer unlock. Pretty much unplayable. This game, as of making this review, still has a player base large enough to get into matches fairly quickly and there isn't really any bugs or cheaters that I've noticed. The mechanics are great and not too complicated once you figure it all out. There's enough complexity to keep each match unique and interesting but not so much that it feels overwhelming. In my opinion this is a very polished game. I personally find it really fun as a killer but pretty miserable as a victim. There's a reason they are called victims and not survivors. There are 3 killers and the maps are smaller than my bedroom so you can imagine how that goes. If you have a group of friends to play with as a victim or even just a team with good comms the game becomes very victim sided and you can coordinate escapes pretty easily but solo queue with no comms is tough. Not impossible but tough. When both teams are matched up fairly with experienced players on both sides I think the game is overall killer sided. It's hard to escape from killers who know what they're doing. A lot harder in this game I think than most asymmetricals. That being said, if you're tired of being looped and trolled by survivors in DBD and other similar games (they still troll in this but it's not as easy. They need to be sweats in a group), you can always come play this and get your fix of killer fun. Most of the time it feels like killers have about a 80% win rate. At least for me. Gameplay aside, as a fan of the TCM franchise this game is great. The attention to detail in the maps is insane and the graphics are beautiful. Really is a shame this didn't last longer as there are so many other characters and maps to pull from in the franchise. All in all I think this game was worth my time and money. Especially because I prefer to play killer in asymmetricals anyways and it seems a lot of the remaining victim players are skilled enough to make it interesting for me. When you get the hang of it, it is basically just a Sawyer family murdering simulator but I'm not entirely against that. Movie accurate lmao. Edit: Took me 116 hours to 100% this and I think my overall thoughts are still the same but I gotta say I really enjoyed it for the most part and I'm gonna miss it. I mained Johnny and often got 3-4 kills per game. It was a blast. I got other games I want to play so with my 100% and 116 hours, it's time to put down the knife and retire but I will look back on this fondly. Probably the most fun I've had on an asymmetrical.

This game got abandoned a month after I bought it. It's a shame, I was really enjoying it. If you want to get the game, wait for a sale, don't pay full price for an unfinished game.

i really like the game but it has some big problems im only giving it a positive review because i want the game to get more attention and become better 1. TERRIBLE onboarding 2. the playerbase is tiny usually leading to really long matchmaking times 3. you wont find matches as a victim because nobody wants to play the family appearantly(i like them) 4. there is no offline/vs ai mode(which would help with the tiny playerbase) 5. the performance is mid 6. forced camera smoothing(just why) 7. there are a buncha small bugs like the camera acting weird during certain interactions which are annoying sometimes 8. INSANELY LONG CUTSCENES EVERYTIME YOU START OR END A MATCH i dont wanna see these anymore for the love of god if i could keep playing this game against bots OFFLINE AND WITH FULL PROGRESSION id be super happy
