I paid 0.99 for this gem of a game (on sale). I've only played it so far for 3 hours, but I'm hooked on it (for now). I find the game to be quite addictive, with an easy enough learning curve (though there definitely is one), It has a simple but adequate interface, and so far has been challenging enough to keep me interested. The game is fun, and strategic, and puzzles arise in it organically. I'm definitely getting more than my money's worth.

Absurdly high value for the price. Yes, the graphics and the mechanics are both simple -- but that doesn't mean you won't have 5 to 20 hours of good, clean, uninterrupted fun. You will. If you have any interest at all in a light-weight civilization game, and you can tolerate "match 3' mechanics, then give this one a try. Instead of maximizing your clicks-per-minute or paying to play, you win this game by thinking about what your civilization needs most, and matching tiles and researching techs and using your bonus skills accordingly. The theme of humankind's progress through history shines through extremely well, and it emerges more or less organically from ordinary gameplay.
