A wonderful game. Great for parents and kids who love trains, or for adults who grew up with wooden train sets as a child. It doesn't try to be anything it isn't - no bait, minimal progression system/basically no walls behind content - and it is easy to learn how to play. I'd recommend a keyboard and mouse. I don't know how it functions with controllers, since I played it with a keyboard/mouse. This game is a pure sandbox - great for just having a chill time by yourself where you can shut your brain off and play with trains, in my experience. The graphics and performance are very good. You can go very big with these maps - make dioramas, "little village"/dollhouse/Christmas village set-type scenes, or go fully technical and toy-like and make marble run (or hotwheels)-style train sets. Of course you can recreate many things you find in a household wooden train set too, as is the core functionality of the game. The development team listens to their fans, and they have reached out to the community for comment on features in the past. That's just the cherry on top for a game like this, and a signal to me that it's not just a hustle for your money. It's a game with heart. If you like trains, if you liked them as a kid, or if you know a kid who likes them, this game is probably for you.

A lovely vacation from the real world. Chill, play some tunes, and play with your trains. The game is still getting regular updates, and feels like it was made with love. 10/10

SUPER fun! Free play mode is my favorite, you can build forever, I feel like a little kid again but with infinite track pieces :)
