Dev created a custom control scheme for a single arthritic gamer who asked in the forums. That's wild, good stuff bro. Game itself is fun and reminds me of playing STALKER as a kid. Quality game, quality dev.

Tunguska: The Visitation is probably the greatest homage to the STALKER series made by a single dev to this date. STALKER fans will immediately be able to spot both similarities and differences, with the differences actually being the games strong suit. Instead of artefacts it all comes down to serums people create from the flora and fauna of the zone, something the player can get involved in too, instead of just coming across the artefact and picking it up, the player gathers ingredients and turns them into serums either for personal use or to sell to one of the factions. The game is split up into several smaller maps, each with specific landmarks and unique aspects to them. Being played from an isometric/top-down perspective is possibly a hurdle for some, however personally I can't recommend it enough to jump across this hurdle. The game has several DLC which are all very affordable and are great additions to the main game, adding NG+ and expanding upon the arsenal and the gameplay loop in general. One of the downsides of this game is that the baseline campaign might feel rather short, something the DLCs fix. I want to just applaud Rotorist for responding to any kind of feedback usually within the hour, often even at night and then either working said feedback into the game or fixing a bug if it is a bug report. I've not played a single game before where I could post a bug report at 1 am, go to bed and then wake up to a patch for that specific bug. Give the game a shot, regardless if it's on sale or not.

Just finished this one and what an awesome ride it was! If you love Stalker games and does not necessarily need first person view, this game is a must for you. Stalker-like atmosphere is seeping through every pore of this game. - Game mechanics are interesting. - Game world seems reasonably "living" (in some cases more than Stalker 2, sadly). - Combat needs some getting used to, but after that it seems pretty fine. - Stealth mechanics were super fun for me (I don't usually go this way in games) and clearing most of the enemy encampment sometimes practically without shooting, got me great sense of accomplishment. - Equipment choice is pretty good for indie game. - Serum crafting (with highest level being permanent) is very worth exploring. - World is pretty big and unlocking additional means of transportation along the way is quite helpful. - NPCs, while simple, have character and their story and quests make sense. - And let's not forget! Responsiveness and helpfulness of creator of the game is something from another world. No way you will ever see something like this with AAA game and you probably won't see this even in indie games, unless you are very lucky. Thanks again! Thinking about following up with DLC :)

Probably one of the best knock-offs of STALKER I've seen, this game has a solid set of lore behind it (if you're a history buff, you might appreciate it too) and overall? I've really enjoyed the experience of playing it. With that said, it's a new developer. A skilled new developer nonetheless, but certain things are just 'tells.' It feels more arcade-like in many elements, the atmosphere feels somewhat unrefined (compare to say, Atom RPG) and everything has a boxed-in sense, despite being a somewhat Sandboxy game. I quite enjoy it regardless - and I hope to see this developer continue to grow his skills and hopefully, reach the capacity I'd expect given this very early look into a successful game development style.

The game is basically STALKER as a ARPG. A unforgiving slow burn journey into the zone. Controls are a bit clunky but that kind of comes with this genre. Overall a competent and enjoyable (sometimes frustrating) game. Just know if you're looking for a run and gun game than this isn't for you.
