People are right when they say, this games got vibes and they are good. Although repetitive, the game is calming and thats really where it shines. I will say the other cars can be a bit hard / monotonous to find or get to spawn. But they do offer unique travel styles and look cool enough to be fun for vibes alone. Honestly just needs more real variety. weather thats with terrain elevation, more POI's, or even maybe a different way to get the cars you want. Its great fun as is, but leaves a lot open to the future.

Something tells me the dev loves the game they have created, there is just a lot of care put into the package. I remember watching this game for ages, and i got it roughly when i got my OLED steam deck, its a simple concept just driving your car and looting stuff just so you can make your garage feel like home, its just so chill, dad game approved, so you dont have to take things too seriously and when something awkward does happen like going over a bump too fast, forgot to fill your radiator, or your jenga of collectibles finally collapsed and now you have to pick it back up, it gives you a warm and fuzzy humorous feeling. The driving physics feel really plush and responsive, and thats how i like this game to feel, i dont know what the future holds for updates, but keeping a balance of having a nice casual journey is the most important part, and every update as added to this experience. One thing i do hope for, is a bit more verticality in the biomes, be it broken highway routes and more winding roads with height variables and potholes, but thats just me. either way its a solid game that you can have a good time if all you need is yourself, your car, and a world under the sand.

Very nice and fun indie game. Regularely updated by the dev. Sometimes a bit repetitive after a long playtime, but i like to play it from time to time for the exploration / looting / cutsomisation / relaxing athmosphere. Cars are cool, would be nice to have sirens for the emergency vehicules rooflight, or even emergency vehicules themself added (Ambulance, police car..)

This is a great road trip game, there is not much to say about it. It feels much better than Pacific Drive and Keep Driving even, because in this game you actually drive a car (shocking, right?) instead of nudging it 15 meters forward until the next lootable area appears. There are moments here where you just drive, and nothing else happens. You just use the car you've been caring about, building it bit by bit, and you just drive it. Why don't more CAR DRIVING games have such a nice car driving game loop. This game has a good pacing. You have time to just drive. It doesn't force you out of the car like Pacific Drive so you can loot some more useless stuff, and it doesn't replace driving with loading screens (like Pacific Drive does when you move to the next area) or mini-games (like Keep Driving does every single waking second of the game). This game also has a lot of content too, because even though there is a limited number of POIs and the loot you find is kinda repetitive - you still find more things as you play along. I bought it a long time ago and have been waiting for the game to cook some more. It recently added achievemetns and I jumped into it - and I can say it has cooked enough. It's a great game to play right now. Go play Under the Sand if you liked other road games like Jalopy or The Long Drive. This is a much more content-filled game, with a good sense of pacing, unlockables that will keep you engaged for a while, and less jank.

I bought this game awhile back, forget what event made me game hunting, but at the time this was 5 bucks. Not too long after buying it, the developer went ghost for a year or so, and the games community thought he took the cash and ran. He/She didn't. they came back, put some effort in, kept updating it, and brought it to the current day. The gameplay isn't much, loot, drive, loot, sell and upgrade. But for some reason, it's done in such a beautiful atmosphere, and it helped me process things better in life then an actual therapist did. I've looked at other games like this, but none of them had the uniqueness of Under the sand, or whatever makes this game so helpful for processing stuff. Maybe its the fact you are alone and unafraid in this ruined world. maybe its the cartoonish style. My Point being: if you have a couple extra dollars, and even a little bit of free time, I'd recommend this game heavily. been with it since the beginning, and it's getting better every update
