Expensive, but worth it if you simply love Vanguard and want to play it digitally and on the go (pc handheld). My experience: 50+ hours and not a single crash. Ranked matches in 60 seconds or less. You may play against the same person multiple times depending on the time of day (or night). I don't mind this - how many times have we played the same person at locals multiple times in the same day? If you spend VP on only Festival 2024, you will have enough CP to build any deck you want every few fights. Bought it for both Switch and Steam to play with friends across formats, but Steam is the best for matchmaking and performance. It's a little buggy, but nothing so far that detracts from an overall fun/positive experience. Pros: You can play Vanguard on a handheld / laptop. Vintage format! Ranked play. Cons: It's expensive, especially if you're purchasing for both Switch and Steam. It's several sets behind. Spectating isn't there (yet). Not cross platform. Max in-game FPS is 60, but if you use Lossless Scaling, you can frame gen up to 240 FPS with no noticeable artifacts!

-very fun game to play for a tcg game -very well animated -played the game for the nostalgia and its unique TCG format -flaws being the price and the insane amount of issues when trying to pvp with a friend which has kinda ruined my experience for playing this game cant wait for the next update but please fix ur game

Good game but need improvements on Rank ladder, matchmaking, just please remove region lock and enable crossplay so i can play with people with the same skills or rank as mine and also play with players on other regions as well. 良いゲームですが、ランク ラダーやマッチメイキングに改善が必要です。地域ロックを削除してクロスプレイを有効にして、同じスキルやランクを持つ人とプレイできるようにし、他の地域のプレイヤーともプレイできるようにしてください。

So far, a big improvement over DD1. Deckbuilding is much easier, the UI in general is nicer, and it has what I thought was a long dead practice in game: it carries over your data from DD1. So all the cards you unlocked as well as some resources carry over. The $70 price tag is going to be too much for most people. If Bushi were smart, they would have sold this for like $40 max. to encourage people to actually give it a shot. Putting this at $70 is going to draw comparisons from other $70 games. This is closer to Legacy of the Duelist than Master Duel so keep that in mind as well. Don't go in expecting this to be similar or the same to Master Duel. This has much more content than MD and we'll see if it's enough to warrant the price tag. I'm just glad there is a system to play Vanguard online with friends that isn't a sketchy Russian-made executable.

This game definitely has a ton more cards compared to the last game, just from browsing through the in-game shop. The price is steep yes, but since a real life deck can easily cost double the price of this game, I feel like it's not so bad for multiple hours of entertainment. One thing that really stands out to me that I hope they fix is the English translation. Not even ten minutes into the game, and the tutorial has misspelled the word Vanguard... it's in the title of the game. A lot of the dialogue also has weird grammar, it feels like they ran the Japanese script through a translator or AI or something. There is also a few places in the game where I can't tell if it was done stylistically or if there is a really poor frame rate/ poorly animated assets. Otherwise, pretty decent second game so far.
