i've been having a very very stressful week so i decided to try out this game, and genuinely nothing has been able to relax me more than putting on a playlist or podcast and just Going At this game. ive played for what felt like minutes, only to look at the time and realize its been hours. it really sucks you in! in a good way!!! so so delightful, i love wilmot so much, and all the interactions with sam are so cute and made me smile so big. the puzzles steadily ramp up in difficulty but still manage to be therapeutic and fun!! and of course the art is stunning, my favorite part of the game is finishing the puzzles just to look at the pictures. this type of puzzle game isn't normally what i'd seek out, but this game just made me reconsider that! i just love it all so much! adding an endless mode is literally a genius idea and i can't wait to get into that and let it take over my life :) yay 10/10, made me wish i was a postman in the uk ????
A fantastic little puzzle game with a twist. Wilmot got a subscription to a Mystery Jigsaw Box a Day kind of thing to help him unwind after his warehouse job. However, the mystery boxes are all mixed up - in each box there are a few extra pieces from two or three different jigsaws. Now, this isn't Wilmot's Warehouse, so you're not on the clock and you can take as long as you need to complete the puzzles. You do not need to rush to complete them before next delivery, as the return of the postwoman is triggered by completing the jigsaws. The challenge comes from working out which pieces need to be set aside - as the rest of the pieces will be delivered in the following box (or the one after that). So you'll be solving multiple jigsaws concurrently. The pieces are square - no tabs and sockets; there's also some fun visual trickery such as similar visual components used in different jigsaws. There are no reference images - each box is a mystery so you will not see the picture until you actually solve the jigsaw. To balance the difficulty, the pieces do not have to be rotated and there's an audio-visual feedback to let you know whether the piece actually fits in. There's a lot of variety here in terms of how difficulty, size, and theme. Each season can be completed in 30-60 minutes, for a total of about 6-8 hours of playtime.
