WRC 4 – Still Fun To Be Had Here Playing WRC 4 in 2026, it’s kind of cool how much fun this game still is. especially from a game put out in 2013, WRC 4 isn’t the most hardcore rally sim on the planet, it never was, even at release — and and that's why it works as a fun rally game, even today. Easy to Jump Into One of the best things about it is how instantly playable it is. You don’t need to spend half an hour tweaking settings or learning some complicated handling model, the physics are friendly and so is the handling, making it fun for veterans looking for nostalgia or new comers, and achievement hunters. You just pick a car, hit a stage, and you’re off. It’s the kind of game where you can say “I’ll just do one quick run” and suddenly it’s an hour later. Fun First, There's A Challenge Still to Be Found Even though it’s super approachable, WRC 4 still has that competitive bite. Once you get comfortable, you start pushing harder, trying to nail those corners cleaner, and chasing faster times. It’s got that perfect loop of “easy to learn, satisfying to master,” which keeps you coming back for just one more stage. Still Pretty Decent for 2013 For a game that's over decade old, it holds up better than you might think. The physics feel fun and approachable, the stages are varied and still represent their intended countries well, and the whole thing has a nostalgic feel about it that makes it really enjoyable to revisit, it's nor a Retro Rally, but its no longer a modern Rally Sim either. You can see the early DNA of what KT Racing would go on to build in later WRC titles. WRC 4 might not be the flashiest rally game out there today, but it’s still a genuinely fun rally game with loads of personality — and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Also, if you're having issues with the sound but at the end of the stage here’s the fix: NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program Settings -> wrc4.exe -> Max Frame Rate 60 -> Vertical Sync ON. Now start the game and in the pre-launcher check “Wait for V-Sync” and set it to 60Hz. This should permanently fix the sound issue

Best $2 I ever spent. If you want to buy it, make sure you have the Lossless Scaling App for Steam because without it, the game looks substantially worse. Besides that, I really enjoy the game. It's rather simple but still very cool.

Despite being a fan of rally and rally games I've never played any of the WRC games before. The game is on the easy side with handling being closer to the old Colin McRae games than simulation. In fact after getting used to the handling model in the junior rally career I was getting a bored enough through WRC2 and 3 seasons that I considered just dropping the campaign. But thankfully you don't need many reputation points to start driving on WRC cars. Only WRC cars feel like they have enough power to slide around reliably carrying lots of speed through corners. The driving model is very forgiving but you can still feel the weight transfer so it's quite fun. The game's servers are down. This comes with few minor downsides. First it takes a while for a game to start as it tries to connect to to the dead servers. And then after each race it tries to upload your time only to fail and give you a popup asking to retry. Overall it's fun enough, Dollar well spent.

Fun game! This has for me memories to 2014, played it for the full 100% on PS3, and PSVita! 2 times! Fun memories! :)

Despite some annoying issues, including the bad V-Sync and the occassional random mute which requires a restart, I had a decent time with the game. The physics might not be too impressive anymore, but atleast they are a lot less frustrating compared to 7
