I only enjoyed the first chapter. The game asks you to throw away all your progress after the first chapter and it really killed all my motivation to continue it since its mostly idling. The map gets much bigger in the 2nd chapter too so getting through it feels like a slog. I think the price is justifiable for the first chapter though

It's a fun idle game. For the price point I think that it's well worthwhile. When the child is young then they take more time to care, and afterwords you can have them automatically do whatever you want them too for basically the rest of the week with a few check-ins. If you want the time to go by faster then there are minigames, which are just clicking the right buttons in the right order, which is nice if you want to finish a quest and send them on the next one real quick before you leave for work, or what have you. The number of customization's in the options is really nice. Such as the ability to have the game continue to idle even when it's not running. Or changing the color scheme of the game joy graphics. Overall it's highly polished, mild plot, minimal characterization, which is what I expect in an excellent idler.

As others have said, the gameplay doesn't have much going for it, even as an idle game. Beyond chapter 1, it gets VERY repetitive. Lots of mechanics that exist really don't end up having an impact beyond some flavor. (Yolks on previous islands, status effect recovery items). What the game DOES have is very charming art, music, and fun light hearted character dialogue. It also introduces a mystery right at the very file select that kept me playing till it reached its conclusion at the end. It also contains things which games made by larger companies just don't have time for (like surprisingly lengthy branching "but though must" responses. Honestly, a highlight for the game for me, even if none of them reached the heights of the very first one for me. Based on what the game does have, I would say the game is worth its price, and I look forward to future games from this team. EDIT: Forgot to mention that some songs, like the "Sleeping" theme, got stuck in my head even when not playing the game.

This is a fantastic idler! I often had this running while I worked and found the level of involvement to be just right. The pixel art is outstanding. I loved going through all of the different palette options. And I thoroughly enjoyed the writing (including the enemy names/puns). Good tunes, too!
