Very cute roguelike deckbuilder with a lot of polish and production value. Sadly, it really falls off after 6 or 7 hours of doing the same thing over and over again. Really needs more roguelite elements to keep you progressing and getting stronger instead of relying on RNG to keep things interesting. RNG does not appear to be used for the navigation map or for summon bonuses, which is a missed opportunity imo. The game could use new card packs in addition to existing character DLC to really get that power-creep going. Could also benefit from some QOL improvements like more obvious attributes for cards (e.g., colored auras) and a dressing room to craft your loadouts before jumping back into the mirror. Also the DLC is NOT worth it. It is all cosmetic and the impact it has beyond aesthetics are negligible at best. (I was hoping to pay to win, but I guess I suck too much) All in all, Numazu in the Mirage has captivated me, and although it doesn't quite meet my expectations, I’d still recommend it to fans of the Love Live! franchise.

It's a pretty solid deckbuilding roguelite overall. Story is pretty generic and kind of a miss for me but the amount of effort to add the models, characterizations and animations honestly makes up for it. After awhile though the card animations start to become a drag (Though that can be easily disabled as a setting) The gameplay is quite on the safe side; The decks you can custom and the builds you can make is very reminiscent of slay the spire so you can kind of already know what type of cards to expect (Discard builds, shield + body slam build, 0 cost duplicate build etc) Same goes for enemy variety; You have your typical starter enemies (Slime, thief, gremlins etc) then followed by niche enemies that test your deck (Enemy that gives you 1 turn to burst it before it hurts you, enemy that taunts while other enemies atk etc) That in itself is not necessarily a bad thing but because it does not innovate much the game pretty much feels like an animated Slay the Spire instead. It's emphasis on a story/campaign mode is probably what would separate it from StS (Disregarding stuff like art style). Probably the one noticeable innovation is the "Summon" system, where you can bring in friendly characters that provide some passive buff/abilities that can alter your gameplay a bit (Though to be honest who you get and what they do is quite unreliable that you probably cannot build around this system) I've hit chapter 3 and hopefully things start to become more different/innovative by then but for chapters 1 and 2 you're pretty much set if you know the basics of StS.

Very fun and (mostly) relaxing card game. Recommend especially if you're a fan of Love Live and/or Yohane. It can run on low end machines too.

It is almost literally "Love Live, Slay the Spire, Sunshine!". However, judging the similarities and innovations in this light-hearted, beautiful game is a fun, fresh experience. Especially having cards designed for each of the supporting characters and their helper summon mechanic make this feel fun and different. There are some minor frustrations in a couple unblockable attacks and unblockable status effects, but it's not nearly enough to ruin the game.
