Ok, let's get the furry jokes out, because this game isn't even shy about playing into that. In the first seconds of the game you get introduced to your character, a bare cheated chiseled wolfman and the game definitly isn't lacking anthropomorphic animals that are suposed to be various degrees of hot. So yeah, it's definitely furry bait. But even if you think that's weird, try and look past it because Mercury Abbey is pretty damn good. Excellent adventure game with great characters, and a thrilling mystery, fantastic pixelart and a solid soundtrack. It's unfortunate that it get dragged down a bit by a pretty bad English translation. We have everything from characters changing pronouns mid conversation, strange usage of words and phrases that's probably due to a direct translation but with no regards to how that would sound in English to outright misspelled words and things like a character that was attacked but isn't dead is constantly talked about as if they where murdered. It's not the biggest issue but I wish the devs would hire a proofreader. The game is also very kind to completionists, there is a chapter selection screen with sub-chapters so you don't even have to replay an entire chapter and even if you don't look up a guide, you can guess where to look for missing codex entries since there will be empty spots.

This was an excellent game! I thoroughly enjoyed it - for those hesitating because of the furies PLEASE don't let that stop you from playing this game - there is nothing NSFW or other furry concerns. The game is very atmospheric, art style is incredible, and the story is very strong. I was fully immersed for days. The game also plays incredibly well and you are guided seamlessly through. I didn't feel the need to look up a walk through, and I never felt stuck or frustrated. The game is incredibly well optimized very polished. I really recommend anyone on the fence to give it a try! the only critique I can really make is that there were a few typos in some of the dialogue. Additionally I found some of the dialogue with the npcs a bit long but that's a personal preference as I'm not overly patient and want to spend my time on the main plot.

A short but charming game. Very story driven and family oriented. Honestly, I'd gift this to a 10 year old. Pros -Good characterization -Easy puzzles -Engaging plot -Cozy pixelart. Cons -Kinda dull -Absolutely no sense of urgency or importance. -Artist put a bit too much effort into character models and I spent half the game wondering if this was a horny game only to realize there was ZERO ROMANCE PERIOD.

First of all, the game is gorgeous. I know some people might not want to play this game because of the characters, but this is a spectacularly beautiful game. The level of details even for things that we don't need to interact with is just breathtaking. The music is perfect for every scene so far. The mechanics are good, I need to get used to pressing a button to get up and down for a bit, but nothing is difficult so far. Thank you for the hotfix, btw, I respect the work. Okay, this is just me especially because I do work as translator and proofreader, but I found some more typos in the dialogue (I am in Chapter 4 right now). While it's not a major issue, I hope some day in the future you guys will edit the text to perfection. I'm really enjoying the story so far. I love the character designs, I absolutely love the little things like the invitation card, the posters, the diary. I love the read button so people that might not be able to read anything written with fancy fonts can read easily. I just forgot to check my journal a lot because geez, that would have helped me before I started conversation that eventually led me to choose something. LOL Well, a part of learning. It's a very good game with a fair price, I must add. I hope more people will play this game because it's amazing. I really understand why the release date had to be pushed back after I started playing the game. It's just reasonable. That's all. Thanks so much for making this game. I hope all of the hard work paid off because you guys totally deserve it.

Fantastic game and a great spiritual successor to Tales of the Neon sea by the same devs. Translation quality is fine this time (unlike the pre-revised version of ToTnS), so unless you're an english teacher you won't have problems enjoying the plot. Less puzzles this time, and they're a bit easier, which is fine. One hint: if you're going for a 100% explore everything before entering a door/passage/ area you're supposed to go to, because stuff will get locked out and you'll have to load a save or use the chapter select option.
