I'm not the target audience of this game, not even close in fact. But despite this, and despite some translation issues I actually quite thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a very short game, and since it's a visual novel there's not a lot of "game" here, but as I said, I still enjoyed it and found the story quite touching. (Also look at that price, you basically don't have anything to lose by at least checking the game out.)

I usually don't play that many Visual Novels, but there has been time and time again where simply the addition of a franchise I deeply treasure makes me take the first step, or another one. One after the other. Either way, this review is in no way objective and I'm 90% sure it is just my personal bias. A short Visual Novel, made in RPG maker. The English translation is questionable at times, some of the symbols don't appear in the text boxes (That may just be an error on my end due to missing languages on my PC) and due to it being made in the aforementioned game engine, it feels a bit clunky. But gameplay really isn't the point of a Visual Novel, now is it? There are a number of Touhou Doujins and fanworks that end up on the more tragic side. I usually tend to stay away from them with a couple of exceptions. Who would like their favourite character getting hurt after all? Same story with this one. You play as Marisa, carefuly tending to Reimu who has fallen ill prior to the start of the game. It has a nice buildup, with Marisa trying to help Reimu with her fate, albeit to no avail, it builds a kind of tension. Some of the interactions between the two are probably kind of screwed up thanks to the faulty translation, but the message gets across. A heartfelt confession, a deep feeling of betrayal, denial, bargaining, depression but never arriving at that final stage of acceptance. Even as you think there might be a spark of hope it gets shattered the next day, same with Marisas built up confidence after confronting the issue at hand. With a bitter, maybe in some eyes sweet, ending and Marisa joined together with her beloved again, it did make me tear up a bit. Great choice of soundtrack, the story, albeit feeling a bit rushed with the ending, still hits decently hard if you care for the characters and the franchise surrounding it. I would've liked if Marisas actions after Reimus inevitable fate were explored a bit more but yet I emphasize with her; I don't know what I would have done either with such an integral part of my life missing. My inspiration, my idol, my love. The game costs one dollar. If you have one to spend and an hour to kill, give it a shot. And if you end up disliking it, you can always refund.

This game is actually so sad I had to pause and take a couple seconds to process what is happening. Summary of the game - Doomed yuri girls with magic power #sad #gay but in all seriousness definitely play this game if you want to cry or feel a lot of emotions in the span of an hour. Beautiful soundtrack, amazing art, and just an overall great experience playing and there are no miss-able achievements so that's nice if you don't like spending much time on games and getting the achievements (the English translation may not be top tier but you're still able to understand the concept)

Short little rpgm yuri game, I'm giving a thumbs-up because I didn't exactly dislike the game, but I'd have chosen "mixed" if it were an option. You play as Marisa and must help sick Reimu recover. The story is mostly cute and melancholic, but it felt like it was trying wayyy to hard towards the end and it was kinda rushed. The map designs are kinda meh at times but it's overlookable. I absolutely loved the music placement and choices. Well, that's it. If you like ReiMari you can check it out, it's pretty short. Just know that it's nothing crazy. P.S, The English translation is really questionable at times.
