As a cat lover, I was immediately interested in this cute hidden-object game, and it turned out to be a fun and relaxing experience. It is a cozy hidden-object adventure about rescuing cursed cats from a magical castle. The main gameplay is searching through rooms to find hidden cats. Some cats are easy to find, while others are cleverly hidden inside objects like books, boxes, drawers, and decorations. I enjoyed exploring every corner of the castle and discovering cats hiding in unexpected places. The zoom feature is very helpful because some cats are surprisingly small. Where My Journey with Devcats Began I've played many games from Devcats over the years, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the studio has mastered the art of creating simple, relaxing, and genuinely enjoyable experiences. However, A Castle Full of Cats will always occupy a special place in my memory for one very important reason: It was my first Devcats game. While I've since completed many other titles from the studio, this is the game that introduced me to their unique style and ultimately sparked my appreciation for this particular genre of hidden-object games. A Relaxing Adventure Full of Cats At its core, A Castle Full of Cats is exactly what its title promises: a castle filled with cats waiting to be discovered. The objective is simple. Explore the castle, search every room, uncover hidden felines, and gradually lift the curse affecting them. It's an accessible concept that anyone can enjoy, yet it's surprisingly satisfying from beginning to end. The game never tries to overwhelm the player with complicated mechanics. Instead, it focuses on creating a relaxing atmosphere where curiosity and observation are rewarded. The Beginning of a Shared Hobby What makes this game particularly meaningful to me is that it wasn't just my introduction to Devcats—it was also the beginning of something I started sharing with my wife. This game is amazing! Helped me burn a couple hours when going through some really tough stuff. Thoroughly enjoyable, and I can't wait to play others by the same team. Devcats do fantastic work with these games.

Unlike most hidden cat games, this one actually gives you a lot of cats to find. In fact there are multiple areas. You can actually explore the castle and each area has it's own amount of cats to find. There is an actual boss fight as well. I usually don't like buying these types of games because they are lackluster, but this one delivers and I would argue is actually worth the purchase over any other ones. There is so extra stuff after you beat it, but like all the other games of this genre, there isn't much reply value. It's still nice for a play through or two. It's the type of game you beat and then revisit a year later. The point shop emoticons are also pretty cute.

A Castle Full of Cats is an adorable hidden object game full of cursed cats, dungeons, secrets, and Easter Eggs. It's ~100 minutes of point-and-clicking your way through a castle to free ghostly felines and unlock new rooms, all culminating in a "final boss" battle that -- while hilarious and impossible to lose -- operates on a series of timers that may make some players uncomfortable. I had great fun with this, but wish I'd waited until Halloween to play. Devcats consistently makes high-quality games and donates to animal shelters; you honestly can't go wrong with any of their titles.
