Decent, but not as good as the original. I never knew Amanda the Adventurer had sequels, I don't think they were necessary, but Amanda the Adventurer 2 is an ok game. One problem, the game is so hard to the point where I had to look up a walkthrough, but I did enjoy its story.
If you played the first game and liked it, this sequel is a no‑brainer. The puzzles can get a little confusing at times, but the story has definitely been stepped up — especially in how the characters and objects interact with both the VHS world Amanda is trapped in and the real world. The new secret tapes add a lot of depth, giving more background on what happened in the first game and offering plenty to theorize about as you piece together the story of an evil corporation worshiping demons and kidnapping children to summon them. Overall, this game is a solid 8/10 for Mangle Maw’s outstanding dedication to putting a fresh twist on mascot horror in VHS form.
