I remember watching gameplay of this game as a kid, thinking it was just like any other horror game at the time, so I had planned I would play it when I grew up. Here we are and I finally did so. But I wasn't here for the scares anymore. I was here for the story, and it was pretty good and an original take. It's pretty emotional if you try to be in the protagonist's shoes and try to understand how they feel about their situation. There's a piece of truth and reality in this game. Game mechanics such as crawling to go faster caught me off guard, but they do have their charm! It is a short 2-3 hours long game (counting the prologue) which deserves people's attention.
I’d say it’s more of a creepy toddler simulator than anything actually scary, you wake up in your house at night and your mum is missing and the whole point is basically trying to find her with the help of a talking teddy bear, you explore normal household spaces but also some really strange and eerie areas that feel like a dream or nightmare, it is quite fun but a shame how short it is, I finished it and got 100% in under 5 hours. Worth picking up, especially on sale, 7/10
Woah does my head still hurt from high levels of stress with this one! I love unreliable narrators, I did not trust that bear one bit! The atmosphere in here was creepy as hell, causing paranoia, lots of little creepy sounds that you don't even know where they're coming from; confusing you and backing you into a corner. Chapter 3 was a blur for me as I only played it with one eye open - and it was squinted at that- I would have not been able to play this alone so I'm lucky I had a friend backseat game with me, shout out to you!! I recommend looking for all the collectibles as it makes the game spookier and more challenging since it makes you explore the whole map. Sad story overall, I wanted to cry at the end, but thats the scariest part of the game- the fact that it's a realistic situation. Only experienced one bug 10 mins before the game ended, and I never used the peek feature- didn't really need to. Highly recommend especially when on sale. Take your time, explore as much as possible, shoot for all the drawings and have fun! This was a creepy one; and the story, unforgettable.
