when i first bought this game i was hoping that i would have people to play with and well there was not and im so grateful that now they are gonna update this game again after so long of it being out and now people are actually starting to come back and i played my first real game in atomega ever
Atomega has a genuinely brilliant concept and one of the most unique ideas I’ve seen in an online multiplayer game. The whole evolution mechanic and fast-paced gameplay loop are really fun at first, and you can clearly see that the game had huge potential. The biggest problem is that the game basically only has one map, so the gameplay starts feeling repetitive pretty quickly. I definitely recommend playing it with friends, because if you play alone, it can become boring as hell after about an hour. With friends, though, the chaos and competition make it much more enjoyable. It’s honestly a shame that Ubisoft basically abandoned this game, because the core idea is really good. The game itself is fun to jump into from time to time, but it’s not the type of online game most people would play every day. It feels more like something you and your friends return to once a week or even once in a fortnight for a few matches. Overall: great concept, solid gameplay, wasted potential.
