Who would have thought a roguelite that is part brick breaker, part city builder and part Tetris could be so damn fun? It has a relatively fun gameplay loop which can keep you entertained for hours at a time (or all night if you suffer from 'one more round-itus') It's not too challenging so it's a great game to kick back and relax with. Music is actually pretty good so I'm not always throwing it on mute to listen to things on the side. Has a great cast of characters who all come with their own quirks and require different playstyles. It stops things feeling stale when they aren't all reskinned copies of each other with different weapons. There's actually a lot of thought and creativity put into making them pretty unique to play

This digital crack very VERY addictive. Basically a rougelite brickbreaker with a touch of farming sim. Too bad the end game progression and content is lacking. WE NEED ENDLESS MODE

This game is kinda like those fake mobile ads you see everywhere except they had the balls to actually make it into a real game.

Honestly, I don't know how they do it. somehow the vast majority of games Devolver Digital heavily advertises and publishes at various game conference or awards shows are just so damnably fun to play even if the aesthetics are not my cup of tea. You get ALOT of content for 15 dollars. Probably around 25-30 hours to "beat" and 30-50 hours to complete. Each character you unlock have really unique passive or outright change the paradigm of how you approach the level. I am not kidding here nor exaggerating, yet at the same time, I don't want to say exactly HOW because I feel it would spoil the experience. The Devs truly were not afraid to do what sounded fun. EDIT: I can confirm that it took me 25-30 hours to beat the final stage for the first time (assuming the 8th stage is the final stage)
