Later challenges become a little too specific and difficult to act as motivators for continuing to play, and the game in general feels like its missing a little something otherwise to be properly fun to run just for score. The Gemsbok's video brought me here, and I'm left kinda agreeing with both his praise and his criticisms. For the price though, I definitely had a lot of fun with the first 5-6 hours I spent with this.

Like all of Vlambeer's games...it's loveable and great. The mechanic here controls a bit like Asteroids, newtonian physics in 360 degrees. The music when you die, and there's this goofy picture of a Military General/Admiral guy with a big head, is hilarious. The menu design is loveable.

One of the best arcade-style shooters I have played. It takes a bit to get used to the controls, but it one of the most addictive games I have played in recent times.

Good arcade game! The menus are janky but the gameplay is fluid once you get used to how each engine handles. However, SFMT mode suffers from the same issues as Nuclear Throne hard mode - it's a massive step up from classic and the difficulty often feels unfair. The SFMT 'kill an ace at max combo' and 'get 25k' missions are very reliant on enemy spawns and can be frustrating. It's a shame that the game locks a final piece of content behind these missions, but if you ignore them and enjoy the standard gameplay it's a fun game to pick up on sale!
