Quick clarification up front — because I’m consistent about this: I only review games I have beaten. Short experience, fully completed. Credits rolled. This isn’t about being Batman in combat — it’s about being Batman in his head. Batman: Arkham VR is not a traditional Arkham game, and that’s important to understand going in. There’s no freeflow combat, no predator rooms, and no sprawling Gotham to patrol. What you get instead is a focused, narrative-driven VR experience that puts you directly inside Bruce Wayne’s perspective. And when it works, it works really well. The strength here is immersion. Standing in the Batcave, examining evidence with your own hands, suiting up as Batman — those moments land hard, especially if you’re already a fan of the Arkham series. It feels deliberate, intimate, and surprisingly effective at making you feel like the world’s greatest detective. This is more about investigation, atmosphere, and storytelling than action. VR is used intentionally, not as a gimmick, and the experience respects your time. It knows exactly how long it should be and doesn’t try to stretch itself into something it’s not. That said, the price is hard to justify at full cost given how short the experience is. This is absolutely a game you should grab on sale, where it feels much more reasonable and easier to recommend. Pros: Strong sense of immersion Excellent atmosphere and presentation Detective-focused gameplay works well in VR Great for Arkham fans Cons: Very short No traditional Arkham combat Limited replay value Full price feels steep Verdict: A finished, focused VR experience that lets you step inside Batman’s world — best enjoyed as a companion piece and best purchased on sale.

Interesting little VR game with linear story. Has some bugs, but it's fine. Takes about 60-90min to complete. It is certainly not worth the full 20 euro price. Would recommend it if it's 5 euro or less.

I played on the Meta Quest 3, and thought it was pretty fun. I got the VR headset to play Arkham Shadow, and thought I might as well play the other Arkham game as well. And while nowhere near the level of Shadow, I enjoyed this game for what it is. It kind of function like a point and click and adventure game. If using a guide, you can probably get 100% completion in 2-3 hours, but it took me about 5 hours without one. $20 is a bit much for such a short experience, but I still enjoyed it. There is a batarang minigame in the batcave which I thought was pretty fun, and there were some neat easter eggs hidden about as well. If you are looking for an authentic Arkham experience in VR, play Arkham Shadow. But if you just want to have some fun being Batman and see this game on sale, I'd definitely recommend picking it up.

Fantastic VR experience, the environments and characters are brilliant, there's basically no challenge involved so it's just an experience and not so much a game. That said I had a great time being Batman for the evening.
