Pretty good, but I’m 20 hours in and still haven’t reached Anor Londo. Starting to think it was just a made-up place.

Absolutely peak. Ending C almost had me in tears. Can not wait to play 2 you need to patch the game otherwise 90% of the content is missing. pug 701 made a simple easy guide on how to do that so I'm posting the link to it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3549960155 The community is very nice from when I was looking stuff up for quest lines so if you get stuck people will be more than happy to help (I tried to play mostly blind and I somewhat recommend this for your first run) The game is very morbid and has a lot of H scenes. At it's core you have a very philosophical game that will make you question your own morality and shows you the actions you can take with free will. The combat is also very fun

As of August 15th 2025, without the patch, you are only allowed access to 2 forest maps, and Behemoth Ranch. For example, in the holy forest, you are cut off from the river-side portion of the map, as well as the Blacksmith/Dungeon, not to mention the lack of NPCS. Due to an influx of comments and reviews, I combed through what was left of the game to document what is and isn't actually in the game. Thus, here is a list. THINGS REMOVED IN UN-PATCHED BLACK SOULS: - Any mention or reference to sexual content - Character status/ emotion sprites (usually present in the bottom left of dialogue) - The player Character is schizophrenic and hallucinates Leaf's presence in her introductory scene - Sign dialogue (save for the one next to the Bremen house) - Any non essential NPCs (Such as the Holy Forest Faeries and Crestfallen Hero, Tortoise knight,Pot Plant, Goose) - [Inaccessible] Riverside - [Inaccessible] Blacksmith/Dungeon - [Inaccessible] Dorothy's House - [Inaccessible] Dump/Landfill - [Inaccessible] Dessert - [Inaccessible] Mines THINGS THAT REMAIN - Leaf: Leaf's in game sprite is removed in her introduction, but her sprites appear for her campfire events/ in the lost forest. Leaf's dialogue for taking the crumbs left behind by Hansel and Gretel also remains. - Hellkaiser: You can still beat him, anyone complaining about the Drake sword not being available, are most likely bad at the game. -Prayer Master: You can still level up and purchase things, however there is no progression or change in the stock of the store, since you cannot leave the general starting area. - The Musicians of Bremen and The Big Bad Wolf: You can fight these two in this game still. And The statue outside of the Bremen house, is the only one in game that remains with dialogue. - Wonky enemy sprite placement in combat? If you would like to enjoy the game, please patch your copy, or feel completely free to refund it. (*cough* get filtered tourist *cough*) The game itself, originally has an option to disable NSFW, however due to current events, we are not allowed to have nice things. This game, might have been up your alley, but frustration is understandable in these trying times.
