Bomber Crew is the best game I never want to play again. And I will absolutely play it again. Bomber Crew is a game that looks at joy, camaraderie, nostalgia, and World War II aviation heroism… then calmly asks how much of that you’re willing to sacrifice in a fireball over the English Channel. I love this game. I despise this game. It has become a personal enemy. If your old man was into World War II. If he watched grainy black-and-white documentaries about Lancaster bombers and B-17s. If he pointed at planes in the sky and said things like “That’s got a good wingspan” with reverence… congratulations. This game is now your inheritance. And your curse. On the surface, Bomber Crew looks charming. Cute art style. Little bobble-headed airmen. Management mechanics. It lies to you. It lures you in with whimsy and then feeds you to flak cannons with the enthusiasm of a bureaucrat stamping paperwork. You don’t control a bomber. You shepherd a family. You name them. You dress them. You train them. You watch them grow from green, terrified recruits into hardened veterans. You learn their quirks. You remember who’s good under pressure. You start to care. And then the game kills them. Not cinematically. Not heroically. Abruptly. Casually. Sometimes because you forgot to move someone three steps to the left while simultaneously putting out a fire, patching a fuel leak, reloading ammo, swapping the bomber to the nose gun, and praying the navigator isn’t blinded by cloud cover again. Bomber Crew does not punish mistakes. It collects them. The moment you think you’ve got the systems figured out, the game invents a new way to humiliate you. Enemy fighters swarm like angry hornets. Engines light up. The radio dies. The plane loses altitude. Someone screams. Someone bleeds. Someone you’ve had since mission two is suddenly gone, and there’s no reload that gives them back. Permadeath in Bomber Crew isn’t a mechanic. It’s a personality trait. Every mission feels like an argument with fate. Do you push on to the target, or do you turn back knowing you’re one burst of flak away from a war memorial? You’ll second-guess every decision. You’ll replay the moment you chose greed over safety. You will blame yourself. Correctly. And yet. When it works? When the crew limps home on one engine, half frozen, riddled with holes, dragging wounded bodies across the fuselage to keep the bomber airborne? It feels incredible. There is no power fantasy here. Only survival. Only triage. Only the quiet relief of seeing the runway after two hours of sustained stress you absolutely did not need in your life. Bomber Crew is the worst. Bomber Crew is the best. It is anxiety wrapped in nostalgia. It is management gameplay soaked in aviation fuel. It is a game that turns World War II reverence into modern-day emotional damage. If you love planes, history, or your father’s documentaries, buy it. If you value your blood pressure, don’t. If you want a new frustration. A new ritual of suffering. A new thing you swear at while secretly respecting it? Bomber Crew is waiting. And it does not care about you. Not one bit. ✈️🔥

This game came out when I was ten years old. I remember watching videos of people play the campaign on Youtube for hours and I always wanted to play. Recently, I got the chance to finally get and play this game, and I felt like I was ten again. The game did not disappoint after all that time wanting to play. If you can multi-task and like WW2 bombers, I recommend this game a lot.

As someone who first played this game on my xbox and then beat it on pc, I can say i enjoy this game alot. If by any chance a Dev sees this, I would love to see a Submarine/Uboat game, I feel that this style of game would make a good submarine game with the art style. thank you and goodbye.

- I've lost four crewmembers within four hours of playing (not sure if that is good or bad) - Killed one ace - Lost three planes on the runway, lost one in emergency landing (because I lost my landing gear) - I still love this game
