Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is a first person shooter. Gearbox did a great job with this sequel to Hill 30. Gameplay is improved and the graphics are also more refined. The Brothers in Arms trilogy are all World War II action shooters. Played this on my Dell Precision 3480 with Arc Xe graphics and RTX A500 discrete graphics. Game is very playable. The easy system requirements suggest Arc Xe graphics can play this at 1920x1080 easily.
This game is different than MoH or COD. The main difference is that you command units (a few), and you have to use a bit of strategy in order to progress through the mission. You are not a major super-soldier who can easily take out a whole army just by camping correctly, and having a super aim. Also, it is hard to kill an enemy from distance (recoil, breathing and so on), let alone if they hide behind an obstacle then it gets even worse. If you try to throw a grenade, most likely you will not succeed as this is not the best function of the game. However, the tactic is quite simple. Use your units to supress and flank them. Should you do that, then it is only a matter of positioning in the map and chosing the correct path to flank. For all the reasons mentioned above, I do believe that this game is more realistic and therefore more enjoyable. This is a forgotten gem that is definitely recommended. My suggestion is to start on a high difficulty, so you can learn the game, and then redo it with the highest difficulty. If you know the mission, then it is way easier the 2nd time you try it.
