After 100% Completing this game I must say it's pretty impressive considering it's originally a flash game with HD graphics. This is my first time playing a Burnin' Rubber game so there might be some stuff others might disagree with. Pros: -Great Graphics for a flash game ported to PC -Huge variety of Car list containing over 50+ vehicles with cars such as a Tank,Police Car and a horse etc. -Creative boss battles with special abilities -huge amount of Tracks and Weapons selections. -Decent AI vehicles -Large amount of contents the game has to offer to keep you up to date. Cons: -Terrible Handling, if you got stuck somewhere on the track it would be impossible for you to get out of it as the handling of this game is really bad, you can also use the e-handbrake which is semi-reliable. -No Key Rebindings, This game has no way you can change the key bindings which is not good because you are forced to use arrow keys for moving your car and shift for e-handbrake which can cause sticky keys to appear. -Unbalanced Weapons, Some Weapons on this game are either the most useless weapon or the most broken weapon in the game, some weapons for their high price are a huge scam such as: The Redeemer which costs a million dollars but despite it's price it can only do 5% damage to the final boss of the game when some weapons can kill the final boss in few shots for cheaper price tag. -Useless Level Up system, The XP you get from taking down enemy vehicles serves no purpose as it's just for the show. You can 100% the game and unlock everything but the level ups would still not serve any purpose to this game, no unlockables or anything. Conclusion: Burnin' Rubber 5 HD despite it's flaws is a good game overall and it's impressive how the same game is available to play for free on flash sites. The game for it's price during sales is definitely worth it to grab. Final Rating: 6.2/10

Review: Burnin' Rubber 5 HD Burnin' Rubber 5 HD is a fast-paced, chaotic arcade racer that’s all about speed, explosions, and pure fun. It takes the classic browser game that many people grew up with and gives it a new coat of paint in HD, making it look sharper and smoother while keeping that nostalgic, over-the-top gameplay intact. What I liked most about the game is the mix of racing and combat. You’re not just trying to cross the finish line first—you’re blowing up anyone in your way with rockets, machine guns, and a wide variety of over-the-top weapons. The vehicle selection is surprisingly diverse, and unlocking new cars and weapons gives a real sense of progression. The tracks are creative too, ranging from city streets to more outrageous, hazard-filled courses that always keep you on your toes. The arcade-style physics mean you won’t find realistic driving here, but that’s part of the charm—it’s all about drifting wildly, pulling off stunts, and causing chaos. The HD upgrade makes everything more polished, and while it’s not cutting-edge graphically, it definitely improves the overall experience compared to the original. That said, it’s not a huge, deep racing sim—it’s a straightforward, fun, pick-up-and-play game. If you go in expecting a full-featured modern racer, you might be underwhelmed. But if you just want high-octane action with a nostalgic twist, Burnin’ Rubber 5 HD absolutely delivers. Do I recommend it? Yes—especially if you loved the original flash games or you’re looking for an easy-to-jump-into arcade racer that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s a blast for short, chaotic play sessions, and it still captures that “one more race” feeling.

I remember when this was just a web game. I've had many fond memories with this game as a kid and it still holds up.

Although this game is very fun, it has a lot of bugs. For example, in the Camper Crash Challenge, the boss car is so tall that sometimes it bumps into objects, or sometimes the game lags it self even though all of the graphics setting are turned off. I feel like there is still lots of thing that need to be fixed in this game in my opinion. Overall the game is amazing and i'm glad it got a remake :)

This review mainly goes out to the folks at Xform. Thank you. Thank you for creating a game series that I got to enjoy nearly every weekend in my childhood at the local library because I was either too poor to afford a computer, or living in a homeless shelter with my family. I have played Burnin' Rubber, Burnin' Rubber 2 (which you guys need to get on Itch.io already!), Burnin' Rubber 3 (my all time favorite), Burnin' Rubber 4, and this game all throughout my childhood and so to say I am thankful, would be an understatement. In terms of the game itself, it offers the typical flash racing formula and offers a great "turn off your brain and have fun" experience. This game is by no means a masterpiece, as the physics are wonky, the music and tracks are reused, and it is rather short. However, as we approach the release of Burnin' Rubber 6, I will always keep an eye on all of their games and get excited to see a new title come out. Please, if you can, release the rest of the Xform catalog on Steam, and I will buy it up!
