Don't worry about the not compatible tag. The game runs like a dream on Steam Deck and there are no control issues. It's a great time.

Caveman tl;dr at the bottom This game has no equal. Generally speaking there's always an indie title out there ingrained with the same kind of oozing passion, but the sheer bombastic, over-the-top, nonsensical and badass aura of Captain Wayne: Vacation Desperation truly takes the cake. The namesake himself feels like Duke Nukem's estranged brother, which goes to show a likable character in the same vein is a matter of execution; not substance, and that the droolers holding onto the nukem IP are just bad at playing their cards. That doesn't mean Wayne the pirate is a clone-copy, no sir. The sea-themed arenas, enemies, and collectables give it a nice, crusty art feel. This ain't no 5-star seafood restaurant. You're at crabby bill's triple-deep-fried oyster shack, and they dont accept no city-boy credit card; CASH ONLY. Not to mention, who else has successfully romanticized modern day piracy before? Yeah, you just thought of starving Somalians, didn't you? But the sea-shanties are for show. You've got a double-barelled shotgun for an arm, and enough chum in your system to be giving a blue whale heartburn. You're eating enough seafood on the go and downing enough hard alcohol to kill off the population of Belarus, man. This isn't 16th century cutlass dueling. It's clean, smooth, violent, and self-aware enough to validate its few rough edges. It's a polished game hiding beneath the veneer of a grimy, 1990's DOOM clone, and I have absolutely no complaints. I dare place this game on the top of the totem pole. Kudos to the developers. tl;dr: GOOD.
