I typically do not leave a review until I have played a game for awhile. No exception here. So far I have 60 hours in it. This game checks so many boxes for me. I like to grind but also to see progress. I also like working on the cars. It truly is fun. I have maxed my level. (10) However, I also want to try to accomplish 2 more things. 1. See if I can make 1 billion. 2. Earn all of the achievements. The Dev hasn't stopped working on the game and is continuing to improve it with frequent updates and bug fixes. If you are on the fence, I would say take the plunge! You are going to have fun! I know I am.

I'll start by saying - this is gonna be a longer review than just "game good" and that you should WAIT FOR A SALE. This game can be really fun, honestly. it has alot of repetitive simulator type of things you love to do - and love to hate at times too. But please, don't listen to the negative reviews that go "oh game short" and say or never expand anything on it. The game is short, already, I feel like Im close to finishing my gameplay of it - barely 12hrs in, despite the upgrades being there, its so drawling to be bothered anymore. But theres amazing parts I do like about this game. e.g. the washing, cleaning, general car systems are all really kinda casual af to do. going to the shops, finding a super cheap car to do up with brand new parts and selling it for 150-200% more than you bought it for, feels so damn good. But the baseline problem is lack of content. You will get your moneys worth of playtime on a good sale. $20 is fine, but eh $15 is better, so hence why wait for sale cause it just lacks the content to make this a game people could realistically play for a longer period of time - such as gas station simulator. Which comes to my ideas of how they could improve the game (all unlikely to happen though): - separate the business upgrades to add more stages for less costs and make it similar to the upgrade system in gas station simulator (youre allowed to do that, youre not stepping on too many toes) - add a car wash service and employees early on (theyre too lackluster for what they do honestly like 1 or 2 cars a day is pathetic tbh). - make the junkyard better in sense that the wrecked cars should never cost that much. - add more business upgrades and possibly business expansions, such as the car wash, and maybe even a car maintainence store for selling car accessories in - maybe make it so you can supe up cars? like modify them such as adding bodyworks to increase the price. - car rental simulator shouldnt be its own game, it shouldve been an addition to this one - even if it was DLC, i wouldve bought it honestly as a dlc. it just makes it look like youve ditched this game already without trying - should have made it coop multiplayer (if you werent gonna make employees good) with more customer scenarios and interactions, such as adding car trade-in deals and such or even leasing cars so you get a daily income with interest over time rather than a lump sum (like irl). - also polishing a car by washing it with polish is something nobody is talking about. you wax a car and polish it with those like fluffy circular saw things. add this in = 10/10 satisfaction. - events in game that you can like pay to host an event and sell cars at said event? e.g. a gala show or etc, or make it so you can advertise your business to increase customers for other services (than just "i have car you can buy" and infinite customers come). thats about it. id give it a 6.5/10 right now and if the game improves, this review would too. at current time, its only worth on a sale. the devs and publisher do seem to be pretty genuine, which is promising. but i think they have too much on their plate to make this game genuinely worth the price it sits at without sales.

Its fun, but game is way too easy, 0 challenge whatsoever. Allot of mechanics that are completely unnecessary, just buy any car and put it on the lot for the most you can and eventually someone will pay full sticker price for non-drivable hunk of rust. There's a rival dealer mechanic that lasted 5 days before they just added a setting that turns him off. (lazy) The driving mechanic gets boring fast, all vehicles feel the same. No suspension means a curb sends you into orbit. I got about 40 hrs of enjoyment before hitting reputation 10 in which you unlock the final building/perks and there's no reason to continue the game now, it just ends with hardly a congratulations, and you, with a massive complex in some backwater town for you to continue selling the same cars you've already sold 100 times. I personally would like to see either more cars or the ability to customize more than just paint. Or a punishment system for literally anything lol make bad driving cause damage or running people over lose reputation. Have an investigator buy a car undercover to check if your doing things right or not (taping mufflers, adjusting odometer) Give me a bat to beat the rival with instead of just "press E". Let me get drunk at the bar. Add little pointless things to do in the shop for immersion. Vehicle trade-ins, customer vehicle repairs. A "Customs" body shop where customers can request customization of vehicles (like pc building sim but for cars) ...just to name a few things. Also, the photo booth backdrop image is terrible btw, a couple options to choose from would be nice. I did allot of complaining for a thumbs up but, the game IS GOOD and I just want it to become even better.

There’s a good game somewhere under the hood of Car Dealer Simulator—but right now, it needs a serious tune-up. It’s not a total lemon, but it’s certainly idling in neutral. Let’s start with the issues: The price suggestion bar is misleading. Buyers don’t care what the bar says—they’ll always lowball you. Selling vehicles involves way too much haggling, even when you price them fairly. Driving back and forth for parts gets old fast, especially after upgrading your property. There’s no option to order parts on-site. The part recycler feels like a half-finished idea. Even the fully upgraded building only has one, and it doesn’t scale with your dealership. You can’t see what you paid for a vehicle or how much you put into repairs before negotiating a sale. You’re expected to memorize it? Seriously? The vandal NPC is just annoying, especially with no security option to remove him even at max level. Employees are more work than they’re worth. You have to micromanage them constantly, and there’s no way to automate payroll or daily routines. The tow truck can only haul one vehicle at a time, forcing you to waste a lot of time doing pickup runs. Oh, and what exactly does the “office employee” do? Because all I saw was my money vanishing while they stood around doing absolutely nothing. Now, for the good stuff: The tool system is easy to use and satisfying when it works as expected. The junkyard adds variety early on, even if the drive out there feels like a side quest in itself. There’s a decent framework for a fun dealership sim here—upgrades, repairs, advertising, customer interactions—it just needs refinement. Final thoughts: This game is a solid concept that feels more like an early-access sandbox than a fully fleshed-out experience. With quality-of-life improvements, better systems for managing staff and parts, and more respect for the player’s time, this could really shine. But as it stands, Car Dealer Simulator feels like a project car: full of potential but stuck in the garage.

Been playing since launch day, definitely alot of fun. I really hope they add more to the game, because I'm already 80% completed, and without restarting the game to completely refresh the game to continue the grind, I can see this getting old and dying off. I think simulators like this are fantastic, but adding things like a service department for customers to fix their cars at, making up different prices for repairs, selling parts at your dealership to people as well and making profits that way, and maybe just overall more of a dealership feel. I work at a car dealership and I think this simulator could be alot more immersive and in-depth. I'd be happy to assist and provide more feedback if needed. Other than that, fantastic game guys!
