Castle Crashers is pure chaotic fun and a very cool co-op game. I played it with a really good friend, and every session turned into complete madness, constant laughing, and somehow surviving despite making the worst decisions possible. The funniest part? It took me 3 hours to realize that you can actually block. After discovering this ancient secret technique, I managed to survive about 2 seconds longer than before. Truly a game-changing moment. The combat is simple but satisfying, the bosses are fun, and the co-op experience is where this game really shines. If you have a friend to play with, expect a lot of chaos, questionable teamwork, and unforgettable moments. have played this game since spring 2008 on my xbox 360. Skipping school, making skate videos and taking breaks at my duplex in western upstate NY. Don't really remember all that much besides the demo ending with one of the characters pulling that light cord, which shut the entire screen off...ugh awww so heartbreaking lol and also whatever it cost then, seeming like a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money hahaha. So glad to see so many people have agreed with my sentiment as a 15 year old kid - this game rocks and deserves every ounce of adoration and love it receives. Castle Crashers for life!!!
had a blast with this one. the problem writing this entry isn’t that I’m struggling to find positives; it’s the opposite. where do you even start? it’s cheap, it’s genuinely fun, and the mechanics are surprisingly well-built. there’s real variety to the combat, distinct classes, cool characters, and some genuinely creative boss and location design; especially impressive given the resources. the base game alone is worth it. if you do choose to take it further, grab the painter boss paradise DLC. the community has built out an enormous roster of character variants: magneto, doom slayer, the list goes on. all installable straight from the steam workshop. wholehearted recommend. some games just don’t need a long write-up.
